Lottery state chart/anonymity and claimants
Thank you Todd. A perfect answer. I had to check the calendar to confirm it was not April 1st. 1) Had Ms. KOE performed even 30 seconds of research, she could have easily determined that US states are not the same as US territories and vice versa and US territories are not a part of the USA. Territories are not states and not referred to as states but I learned that in 4th grade as apparently nearly 145,000 views of this summary confirm their understanding as well. https://www.masterc

Did anyone here ever mail winning tickets to the lottery office in Madison? Just wondering how long it takes to receive a check. If I ever hit 5/6 on a doubler I really don't want to drive all the way to Madison for a grand minus the taxes.

How happy would you all be if you hit?
Enough to take care of the mortgage and a cc card, and small student loan for me and my daughter, then fix up the house. About $500K before taxes.

Florida' Jackpot Triple Play
I posted this info about Florida's Jackpot Triple Play in The PICK5 Forum's Florida Fantasy5 Players thread but thought I'd put it here too. Although there aren't many jackpot winners with JPT, you really are better off playing it than FF5. All JPT jackpot winners have won at least multi-hundred thousand dollar jackpots. Some have won more than a million. FF5 winners don't win greater than $100,000 all that often. If you look at the FF5 Top Prize Winners and Retailer Information report,

Jackpots powerball or megamillions
I was reading comments from different members. Everyone is from some place , either this country, UK, Europe, Asia, Africa, etc. Why are some members saying they don't know what they would do with money? First, if you do hit $20 million, you're not getting that. Look at taxes, Some people can't even afford $20- $100. They think it's too much. If I were to hit, I pay down what I owe for taxes, pay down credit cards, auto, help my mom, put money aside. Still single, event

Lotto America
Yeah, the odds are about the same, and OK has state taxes also, TX doesn't. Before TX got PB, I used to drive up there to get tix along with Hot Lotto.

Powerball & Mega Millions: A History
Yeah, the lottery industry needs to realize most players recycle the lower tier wins back in to the lottery most of the time anyway. In addition, if the lower tier win is big enough, it gets put in to the local economy; with taxes on those purchases... win-win for both the player and gubment. So, it would be the best interest of all, if the lottery industry would loosen their money bags a bit and crack off a little of that pot for those lower tier wins.

Jackpot : Annuity vs cash value
If you win a jackpot, you can choose to receive the jackpot in an annuity that is paid in 30 graduated payments over 29 years with an annual interest rate of 5% or as a lump sum 1 . A lump sum means you get a smaller payout immediately. An annuity spreads your payments out over several years and gives you a larger jackpot over time 2 . The decision between taking the lump sum or annuity depends on your personal financial situation and goals. If you take the lump sum, you will pay all applica

I won 1K on a scratch off. I did send it to Madison. I sent it registered mail and insured (lol). Got my check in five days. They also give you the option of them taking out BOTH taxes right away or not, but then you are responsible for that at the end of the year. Jon
