Here's my scientific wild guess as to what we'll see as a big FF5 jackpot payout after March 20th - $300,000 take per drawing. That translates into $150,000 allocated to the winning prize pool. 62% of $150,000 is $93,000 (before taxes) So jackpot payouts will be about $85,000 to $93,000 before taxes and that's if nobody else matched 5 numbers. After a pari-mutuel split and taxes taken out, a players check for a jackpot win could easily be $15,000 to $25,000. Great. Just great. Gone are t

One thing about JPT and it's 2 million dollar jackpots and The Cash Option..... The Annuity Option is as follows, 25 annual payments for JACKPOT TRIPLE PLAY to receive 2 million dollars before taxes. Jackpot Triple Play winners who want to receive a single cash payment must claim their prizes within the first 60 days after the draw date . Applicable federal income tax withholding will be deducted at the time payments are made for the cash option. If you take The Cash Option, obvious

I don't know why I'm typing this....aint anybody reading it.... In addition to the above info I posted about JPT, there have been six jackpot winners with a Free Ticke t... Two of those six won $1.4 million each. I always buy the Combo Option when I play JPT. You get three lines for $1.00. (or 33 cents per line without the Combo, so when adding The Combo, the price per line goes up to 66 cents per line) Considering that I'm OK with paying $3.00 per line when I play PowerBall (I alway

The game really had only one decent prize and now that was been reduced by this change. That normally $10 for beating 80 something to 1 odds was/is a joke. And that second prize which many times wasnt even $100 is a huge slap in the face for someone beating 2400 to 1 odds.....now beating nearly 400,000 to one odds isnt going be even $100,000 after taxes. I will be surprise if this doesnt take a huge hit in the amount of people playing.

Here's what's wrong with playing JPT when the jackpot is low..... A guy in North Fort Myers won a $300,000 jackpot playing JPT on December 2nd. OK great! Congrats to him and I know he's very happy to have won. BUT!! While the advertised jackpot was $300,000, he took the Cash Option, and therefore he received $195,802. Although I'm not sure about this, that amount is probably BEFORE TAXES! If I'm correct, he took home probably about half the advertised jackpot. $195,800 before taxes is wh

I've been thinking about JPT. It's probably going to take a while before somebody hits the two million dollar jackpot, and if they take the cash option (most people have done exactly that) they probably will receive a prize of less than $1,300,000 before taxes.... Remember last Summer how it took a couple of months of rolldown drawings until the jackpot was won? The winner took the cash option and won $1,368,000 before taxes. I think the same thing is going to happen with this $2,000,000 ja

You wont believe this, but................. I've changed my thinking a little bit with regard to only playing the evening draw - provided I even play at all. If I win any Free Tickets in the evening draw, I'm going to play all of them in the midday. That's because i just looked at The Top Prize Winner report and some lucky dog got a Free Ticket at a Publix in Tampa and won $71,000! What the heck... It's a QP and you just never know. 71 grand before taxes off a Free Ticket is a nice payda

Here's why I dont like the additional drawing per day - If there are multiple jackpot winners, then the jackpot is divided equally among them. (That's not changing) Suppose there are four winners of the jackpot which was $100,000. That means each winner will receive $25,000 before taxes! A player might net $18,000. Big deal!! NOT!!!! A $100,000 jackpot will be a whopper of a jackpot. We might see a jackpot that big on Friday's and Saturday's, but the rest of the days of the week the jack

Yes, The Snowbirds are definitely in town................ The Top Prize Winners and Retailer Report reveals that on 1/24/2023 a woman from West Haven Connecticut roared into Sebastian Florida, picked five numbers, and walked away with $34,860 before taxes. I'm totally jealous. That's because I know West Haven... it's a nice town... but that lady should stay in Ct and play her own stupid lottery. I'm sure she completely disagrees with me. I can see her now giddily calling all of her frie

Correct! The winners report shows two winners at the same store in Davie. My guess is some savvy player bought the same line twice and took money away from the other two winners. The player with two winning lines won $93,004 before taxes. Had they not played two exactly the same lines and split the jackpot equally with the other two players, all three winners would have won $62,002 each. Because the other two players won $46,502, they each had their portion of the jackpot reduced by $15,498.
