Lottery winner Jack Whittaker's losing ticket
ThisThe police found a small pistol and $117,000 in cash on Whittaker. It doesn't bother me, because I can tell everyone to kiss off, he explained to reporters outside the local courthouse after his arrest. I think having this attitude was the underlying cause of all of his problems.

Wrong guy: Cops beat up lottery player
I don't think you can compare this case with the Rodney King case. Rodney King was a common criminal, fleeing police and resisting arrest when finally caught. A lot of innocent people lost their lives in the aftermath of that idiot's actions. The guy in this case had done nothing wrong.

Accused lottery killer expected to make plea in court
Since her arrest, detectives say Moore has blamed everyone from drug dealers to her then-14-year-old son for Shakespeare's murder. Geez...I'm always the first to say innocent until proven guilty....but to blame your own child for murder so that you can get off??? That's a new kind of low...even for a killer.

Man pleads guilty to altering lottery ticket
Upon his arrest, Spindler, a 2002 graduate of the New York State School for the Deaf, told police he altered the ticket because he wanted money to open a school for the deaf. Sounds likes he thought wanting to help his community entitled him to the jackpot even if he had to steal it.

Police arrest four in Chicago lottery ticket scam
Police arrested two men and two women earlier this week who allegedly ran a lottery ticket scam that targeted elderly Hispanic victims. The four worked as a team and typically sought out elderly Hispanic victims at stores and on the street, according to a release from the Chicago Police. The suspects would approach a victim two at a time and explain they were illegal immigrants and had a winning lottery ticket of more than one million dollars. They would then offer to share the winnings if

Police seize winning lottery ticket bought with drug money
Spy, this is just my opinion, but I think the reason this bothers you so much is because the man has been arrested, tried and convicted in four column-inches of newsprint. The guy's obviously guilty; he's a drug dealer, after all, so why bother with a trial? As we progress into the 21st century, our legal system seems to be reverting to the archaic ways of 16th century England, when the monarchy could take anything they wanted from the serfdom without process. This practice caused a rev

Police seize winning lottery ticket bought with drug money
No, I just don't think it was admissable as evidence. Or useable in any other way as pertained to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator. I hate druglords. They have cost me some family members. In fact, I can't think of anyone who hasn't been affected by the abuse of drugs one way or another. But explain to me how this is relevant. I don't get it. It just seems to me that the government will use any old excuse they can to take your winnings from you.
