Did you ever wonder?

It's an odd thought I have but I think I would be better off to play more sporadically than consistently. I recently saw a television interview where a well known actress said that she had been wishing for a certain acting award for years and came very close but never received it. She said that it was as though the harder she chased it (wished for it) t

TLC The Lottery Changed My Life...on again
I almost fell out of my chair when they said how much she got. The last two big Sweepstakes P.C.H, they did not award the prizes. I believe the first one was $1,000.00 a day for life, and the 2nd was 10,000,000 plus 250,000 a year for life. I could be wrong but I think those are the figures. P.C.H should be ashamed of themselves for this nonsense. I believe they never have intention of awarding the big prizes but have no problem giving out the secondary ones. I gave them a try for both of these

How are lotteries able to stay "in business" when they're too easy to win?
Mention Darwin's award, and look who responds. The award also comes with a samll plaque on a string that you can wear around your neck. It's only fair to the people you meet, to know upfront what they're up against.

Can you impress yourself into a $1 million?
myturn, ...the Wilberforce Award $1 million to go to a young person under 30 who can impress him by becoming famous through his or her ability to show leadership in communicating an alternative to our population and consumption growth-obsessed economy.... That award for doing so sounds a wee bit contradictory, a paradox. A young person from the minimalst movement won the Wilberforce Award, and $1 million, for showing their leadership in the less-is-more category. Huh?

Lump Sum or payments?
I'll definately take the lump sum and try to get all the financial advise I can from various sources to decide where to put it all, because I definately won't put it all in one place. With 100 mil after taxes, off-hand, I'd say it's a good idea to award yourself about 10 million to spend, and invest the rest at first. Hopefully the 10 mil would last, if it doesn't, hopefully you're smart enough to realize how lucky you are that you didn't award yourself the full amount to spend and slow down. Pe
