Idea for MM states
Many of you know that MUSL runs several games, including a mini-powerball game called Hot Lotto available to 8 of its 29 members (not counting Oklahoma, which sells PB beginning next month.)Lotto South is in grave danger of falling apart. If Kentucky leaves, LS would remain only in Georgia and Virginia, both MM states. At the same time Michigan's Classic Lotto 47 is not very popular with its computerized drawings, and sales for Ohio Lot O' Play are falling like a rock. There has been talk for a

Another high second prize payout for PB!!
I'll bet the reason there was no jackpot winner is because the Powerball was the same number as one of the first five. Note that all six numbers were birthdates. Just my luck though. Five out of the six numbers on my quick pick were NOT birth dates, and even the one that was did not turn up. I can't believe that with so many second place winners, my state (Iowa) did not have one - Iowa didn't even have any third place winners! Hopefully, this does not happen again this year, otherwise the

[C++ Code]A Quick Pick generator for PowerBall and Mega Miilions
Nice programs. I write C# which is similar. My program runs in Windows. One part of the program has an RNG option mainly to use for computerized drawings if/when I play those. Question: Does the RNG generator make sure that a number is not put twice (other than Bonus Ball)? I don't recommend using a list 1.4gb in size, that eats so much disk space! A twist on the marking off of used numbers: use your favorite RNG method and pick 5 numbers and a BB, then flag off the 5 numbers (and a separate BB

New game in SC this autumn
The only thing negative about HL is that it's computerized (actually, it uses radioactive material-I don't see how that can be manipulated.) I realize that some people are as against computerized drawings as I am against annuity-only games. HL, computerized or not, is a much better game than GA-KY-VA Lose for Life. South Carolina was interested in Lotto South-LS would still be here, as at least a four-state game, if SC had joined. If NC and SC were to join HL, they would do so, separately.

My support for MUSL Hot Lotto has faded
Not sure if you all saw this post in another thread: https://www.lotterypost.com/threads.asp?tp=128106 sq=%22hot+lotto%22 rp=Search#i537859 Also, this computerization of Hot Lotto and Wild Card 2 really hurts some states in the State Lottery Report Card. For example, the state of Montana dropped from an A+ to a C. I really hope MUSL does not have plans to change Powerball to the dreadful computerized drawings. That would be an utter disaster.

It's not a mafia run business, it is a simple rule. You can't post news stories in the forums. Click Rules on the left side of the page if you're not familiar with the rules. In addition, the news story was already published on our front page at the time you pasted the link in the forums. (Further negating your theory about deleting stories negative about the lottery.) If you have previously posted news stories in the forums that were not removed, that was simply because I did not see you

My support for MUSL Hot Lotto has faded
You're absolute right, JS9. Of course, the big proponents of computerized drawings would say how they have all these checksum algorithms and security protocols, etc., and nothing of the sort could ever slip by them. Yeah, right! These companies are modest-sized firms, with nowhere near the resources as a big company like Microsoft, Apple, Oracle, etc., and yet those big companies are thwarted by hackers every day. And you're telling me that some sub-$100 million company can have a better
