Have you ever wondered why many lottery retailers are owned by members of certain racial minorities?
Here in the Marietta, Georgia area, it has been my observation that a very large percentage of lottery retailers are owned and operated by members of certain minorities, especially people of Middle Eastern descent. I have always wondered why this is the case, haven't you? After all, northeast Cobb is primarily white, very close to or above 90%. I have the answer for you. It is a Georgia law which disenfranchises members of the white majority. If you were to replace the words minority with the

Buying $20 cards for gift...need advice!
You'll be better off buying the tickets from multiple locations so that they are all from different packs. Think of how the packs might be printed, they are columns on large sheets that are folded and then cut. Most of the packs only have enough prizes to meet the minimum prize guarantee. The contract would have requirements such as no consecutive non-winning ticket be symbol for symbol identical so they actually don't have to print all possible combinations in a pack, just enough variations to

Total number of scratch off tickets by game in FL
Florida uses Scientific Games...latest contract renewal was last year, but here in FL the book count discrepancies are noted as well. At least here the FL Lotto publishes odds and number of prizes at each level. Both the website and app show remaining prizes as well. My biggest beef is the apparent lack of updates to remaining prizes for destroyed/lost books, and I've yet to get a winning ticket #...they advertise an open govt atmosphere but then easy cloak info in Info not avail due to secur

Buy scratcher at one store, redeem at another?
Upon conducting my own independant research, I have discovered the following: Florida retailers receive 1% commission for cashing Florida Lottery winning tickets. What about Tennessee retailers? They cannot accept tips, as per their retailer contract: Retailers shall not condition the sale of Tickets upon the purchase of any other goods or services and shall not impose any other unauthorized restriction or condition upon the sale or redemption of Tickets. Neither Retailer nor its employ

Are low numbers or high numbers better with payout?
On the Texas lottery website, you can view the pdf files of the contract terms with the printers and each alternate pack is printed head to tail with it's neighbors i.e.: each column of tickets in a sheet is a pack and one column would be numbered from the top of the sheet while the next would be from the bottom of the sheet. This means that there is no effective difference between low number or high number tickets, both low and high number tickets are tickets that were close to the top or botto

Out of tickets?
Sure has happens all the time see there are some things that might be going on here. One thing is the place where you went to get the tickets has a contract with the lottery they have to pay for the books they bought and they have to pay in advance for the books they get. If the owners had to pay a big bill to somebody else then they might not have had the cash to buy more tickets. Rest assured if they want to continue selling tickets they will come up with the cash to get a new order. Two they m

I think I will display yet even another GA law. TITLE 50. STATE GOVERNMENT CHAPTER 27. LOTTERY FOR EDUCATION ARTICLE 1. GENERAL PROVISIONS O.C.G.A. 50-27-23 (2010) 50-27-23. Restrictions on sale of tickets or shares; price; gifts and promotions (a) No person shall sell a ticket or share at a price other than established by the corporation unless authorized in writing by the chief executive officer. No person other than a duly certified lottery retailer shall sell lottery

How To Determine Winning Scratch-Off Lotto Tickets – Texas
I also would like to see an example of this to compare to FL. Does Scientific Games have the contract for Texas tickets like FL? I would think that the TLC were not the ones that created the algorithm and left that to the vendor and I doubt they develop one for each indivdual state, though it might be possible. I tried following the match/exercises, but I'm getting lost tracking some of the numbers. Maybe the TX tickets are different? But I'd like to see if there is a similar pattern in FL b
