Sad to think but I bet this is just the tip of the iceberg. Good idea checking into quit/retired/ex employees financials.

Pool of McDonald's workers claims Mega Millions fraud
I wonder how the Mcdonalds team justifies that she won and stole the money. By now, Id be living life to the hilt with a new car, house, vacation, shoes (lol) etc. It would be hard to have that kind of money and not show it someway.Even harder to keep it on the QT. Maybe if they saw her financials they d be satisfied. lol-watch her get her own tv show or be invited to the mansion.

Teen wins $35 million Powerball lottery jackpot
Not neccessarily. He sounds like he's got his stuff together...except for the aunt. If I were to win, and I'm 23 years old, I wouldn't allow ANYBODY in my family to deal with my money. I trust these people with my life but it seems like every person who has lost their millions did in part because of a relative. I love them all and they would all be taken care of but my financials would be taken care of by a wealth management team who have good strategies for people with money.

Powerball lottery 'winner' turns coy
The media hasn't even seen the ticket yet. Very suspicious! The real winner is probably talking to their financials advisors right now. I can't wait for the news story in about week saying, 'The winning ticket was validated today, only its not by you think'!

New Mexico Lottery still looking for $93 million Powerball winner
In my example above, you also don't make your $100,000 until the year is over, even though you claim to make $100,000. IMHO, it's just basic financials, and totally above-board, although I can certainly see how people could feel how you do. I personlly have no problem with the way they advertise the jackpot, because they naturally want to put the best spin on it. However, I do like the UK Lotto and Euro Millions prizes better, because they are all cash, with no taxes taken out.

Virginia lottery winner badly in debt
One thing lottery players should realize is, Big companies always promise what can never be given to you without ripping you off some way or the other.I think the best thing to ever do is take a lumpsum payment of whatever your windfall is and invest wisely.Do not rely on Lawyers or financials advisers to manage you asset cuz all they're ever do isgoing to enrich themselves and not you.Had she taken cash over annuity, she wouldn't had come crashing down so early.I have seen cases where people

Pa. lawmaker wants to give lottery winners right to remain anonymous
A tax refund means the government took out more of their money than they actually owed. It's not the same thing. When people have to pay forced/mandatory taxation, they deserve and have a right to know where their portion of the money goes. That's all people are asking for: where did my money go, not where everyone else's money went, but they care about that too. So, as for your independent auditor, they look at the financials. And they look at the lottery budget compared to the expenses. On

North Carolina Pick 4 lottery players sweep $10.3 million with 0-0-0-0
All state lotteries have their accounting records open to anyone who cares to download them, so it would be silly for them to lie about it. If you want to check out the North Carolina Lottery's financials for yourself, here's a link where you can look at everything: https://nclottery.com/CorporateSocialResponsibility_Integrity

SC Lottery offers refunds for some multi-draw tickets
Have they disclosed the financials and the math that justifies their decision, obviously sales are down but they should have to fully disclose everything that shows why the initial jackpot is now half and the increases are down also and why. In other businesses if your sales are down you run specials and lower your prices, they effectively want to keep winning by charging the same amount for the tickets but reducing the prizes. Like I said there hasn't been any real explanation why both lotterie
