Year-old Indiana Lottery jackpot finally won
The younger Gilbert arrived at his parent's house, where they had him double-check the numbers. I looked at the ticket forward and backward, and I said, 'We're rich now.' Wrong, your dad is rich now! Tony Gilbert plans to quit his job with the police department and join his parents on several trips. Las Vegas is their first stop, the family said. They've also talked about Hawaii and Jamaica. Then he's going to quit his job! What the heck for? To be a leech? Now that's what I call a low l

Britain's biggest lottery winner says jackpot ruined her life
Emerging from a cramped flat in the run-down Scottish town of East Kilbride, the dowdy middle-aged woman does not look out of place. Clutching a handful of plastic carrier bags, she struggles down the street alongside the school-run moms and Asbo kids on their way to the chip shop. The weather has turned her recently permed hair into a shapeless frizz and her lackluster skin is devoid of make-up. Dressed in old jeans and a baggy top, another empty day unfolds. Her look is not one whic

$75M Texas Lotto jackpot claimed by business partnership
Part is about privacy and part is about preserving as much capital as possible. Let's say he's single. By claiming it for his company instead of as a person, legally he doesn't have any assets if/when he gets married. Or if he's divorced, would be much harder for ex-wife to claim more alimony. Also helps if you get sued -- for whatever reason. The millions don't belong to him -- they belong to his company . Also he seems to have formed a company inside another company. Transfe

Lottery winners share secrets of their success
Simple steps can keep dream jackpot from turning into financial nightmare Terry McNalley used to be just a regular guy putting in eight-hour shifts at a factory in Bryan. What would the experts do with a lottery jackpot?
We may be the same age, Chewie, but brother, are we different! I'd give most of it away! Big difference. If people want a share of the lottery win, they can go out and win the lottery - until then, screw every single one of them. People are poeple, they will exist, or die, whether I give them a portion of any lottery win, or give them nothing. No doubt, I see hundred of thousands of people on the freeway, in both directions, every day, ever week. I have no idea what a single one of the
