Ny Lotto 6/59
The lower tier prizes do seem rather small considering the game is a 6/59. I have a subscription to Massachusetts Megabucks Doubler, a 6/49 game, and I hit a 4 of 6 a few weeks ago and that paid me $100. I noticed the bonus # for NY Lotto was 47 for last Saturday's draw. Seems like an exorbitant amount of bonus balls. Well as tough as this game seems the odds are still much better than beating PB or MM, and the JP is over $20 million now so why not give it a shot.

Ohio Classic Lotto (6/49) at $16.6M/$8.3M cash
$575 isn't a risk I would take either but then I wouldn't have risked $300K playing that Massachusetts Windfall game before it ended as that Michigan couple was doing either and making a profit. $20-$30 is the limit for my risk taking. I'm playing 20 lines and hoping I do better than a match2 or 3 as I've done in the last 4 drawings. I hope someone wins it even if it's not me so I can get back to picking 10 lines for PowerBall this week end.

jackpot more than cost every ticket combo
The group that did it in the Virgina lottery, had their play slips printed up and a plan in place long before the drawing. It was a matter of waiting for the jackpot to reach a certain level. They did it with three terminals working exclusively for them for three days at three seven-eleven stores. Now stores can't allow any group or person to have exclusive use of a terminal more than 15 minutes at a time. After the case of big spenders taking advantage of their lottery run downs, Massachuset

When Will Illinois Win The Mega Million
Mega Millions started with six states, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan and Virginia. Illinois is a founding member. And 12-21-12 is a Friday, a Mega Millions draw day. I'll have 12 as the Mega Ball number, and 12, 20, and 21 on the white ball side.

Where O where will Mega Million Land this time??
well no jackpot winners this time, but 7 got 2nd prize, 1 from Massachusetts, 2 from Texas, 2 from New Jersey, 1 from Michigan, and 1 from Virginia. Cali was a no show :( My pool completely missed, but I'm just glad it rolled over again

The odds of both neither, just one.
It would seem from California's website that they are now concealing the cash value, much as New Jersey does for its lottery, and as MM does in every state except Massachusetts. In my mind the lotteries use of annuity based advertised is the worst abuse. It is really creepy inasmuch as most players select cash, as I would.

Ca$h WinFall v Lose/Unlucky for Life
Massachusetts has an all-cash game where the jackpot rolls down after reaching $2 million if nobody wins the top prize. Prizes are inflated for match-3 and higher. A number of states offer different online versions of the controversial win $x per week/month for life . These games historically do NOT have cash options (an exception is the Washington state scratch Lucky for Life, which has the choice of $750,000 lump sum; the online game it replaced had only $1000-a-week-for-life, no cash).

MM and PB jackpots
The best model we have is the performance of the old mega millions game which reached $294M before it was won by a player in Massachusetts back on July 2, 2004. The last several jackpots in that run seem to track what is happening here: $155M, $177M, $220M $294M parentheses showing the last three, which would need to be beat this time. Sales were $56M, $81M and $133M. The overall probablility of the last three jackpots rolling over would be, at today's odds, roughly 20%. A rollover at $295M
