How is Massachusetts able to run one of the most successful and well managed lottery in the nation. I think, per capita, its residents play at a higher percentage than most states and win more prizes. My vote was No but I want to add something, it seems that in Massachusetts an inordinate number of 'wise guys' have won jackpots, just perhaps the Mass. lottery watches them.

I've heard of people being arrested not because they wanted to buy a lot of tickets but for cashing in too many winning tickets. There were some guys in Massachusetts that were successfully prosecuted for buying a huge amount of winners cheaply from people that originally bought the tickets and then cashing them in. G5

That does not make sense either. They allow all kinds of federally illegal drugs to be sold openly there but for some reason it's a big crime to sell lottery tickets across state lines? Massachusetts found a way to sell across state lines so it can be done. Why wouldn't they want to take in more $$$?

Mass cash is very popular and has better odds, for its prize amount, than almost any other game in its class. There's a winner every other day it seems. It's one of the reasons why Massachusetts has one of the best and most popular lotteries in the country. I'm not sure how it works for season ticket holders for out of state players but it's worth a try.

Indeed. Playing multiple tickets with same numbers and hoping to max out on relatively smaller prizes is a strategy a lot of players use. When it works, as is the case with quite a number of Mass cash players in Massachusetts then it's life changing. I use a similar strategy with PP and MM hoping to hit multiple second prizes with same ticket.
