LottoSixStats Program (for analyzing 6/N style games)
In the Neural Network thread you mentioned that you have 32-bit system. I regret that this program will only work with most Windows 64-bit operating systems. Sorry.

Artificial Neural Network for CUDA
MBP for CUDA. If you got a NVIDIA GTX card or a NVIDIA Tesla card, you might be interested in testing it on your lotteries. There's a tutorial on the website. I don't think it can replace NNLP which is very flexible and allow more than one line to be predicted, but it can be used to experiment with. I haven't tested it myself yet, so I can't help you with any settings.

Neural Net Lottery Picker
Hi lottolot, Thank you for the info! Will read tonight.. I think there is really something in it in this neural network. Did not play yet just on the paper, but got some interesting results, most of 2 or 3 from 6 (game 6/43), and once even 4. Still learning about it..

Nearly one year of using freeware data mining software for use in predictions
I'd have to agree with you on this. I've also have been playing with data mining software, and can't seem to find good results for patterns in chaos. I will tell you however, that there is a better chance of finding patterns visually just by looking at custom reports and creating your own set of numbers, than a neural network giving you a good set of values to play. But hey, aren't you currently working with a project you mentioned in Ansys? You may have a better chance to perform calculat

Neural Net Lottery Picker
lakerben, reddog, What are the other properties values showing after you imported the draw results? Also, is the 'Start Training Neural Network' button enabled? A minimum of 10 records (draw results) are needed before the game properties are shown and you can train the neural network. Can you give me an example of the draw results you import (structure) Good luck!

What Excel version are you using?
I've tried countless regression/neural network/other forecasting methods in excel and matlab before with very little luck. Any positive results I got seemed to occur as randomly as the input data coming in. I'll be anxious to follow the development of your new addin and see how it stacks up! Good luck!

A.N.N.'s : SharkyNN
That's actually a brilliant idea. With a neural network, the mutation can be applied on a very fine grained basis yet the probability of still having a functional net is very high while with normal GP approaches you need to keep the granularity large in order to assure some functionality. Should work great.

Neural Networks
I would think software using a neural network to reduce the number pool size by half and still have all the winning numbers 80% of the time would be more useful. The way Lotto Sorcerer works, you can't tell if it really has a neural networks or just a formula for picking hot and cold numbers because it suggests the same mix for all pick5 or pick6 games.

Indiana legislator attacks computerized lottery drawings
I prefer to see the drawings take place on TV so I know how the numbers got picked. However, if I knew the computer draws could be trusted, I think it would be easier to predict numbers drawn from a computer than from a lottery ball machine.A computer will NEVER be totally random. It might be possible for a neural network to find pattern in a lottery where a computer has chosen the numbers. Something to consider for those who live in a state where computers pick the lottery numbers.
