Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Something is WAY off with this chart....and i mean waaaaayyyyy off, lol. A scratch off costing $30 each better not have odds of 171.43:1 and 240:1 to hit a $100 winner??? There has to be a $100 winner in each pack of 30 tickets or this looks to be the worst $900 investment for a full book of 30 tickets in the history of the florida lottery which is really saying something. Also, looking at the $50 win odds something is goofy there and cannot be accurate. 150:1 odds of hitting $50 on a $30 scratc

Since the odds don't change- is it wise to buy more than One ticket for either jackpot?
Odds and chances describe the same thing. The game has odds and the players have odds. The game odds (for most games) are based on 1 winning combination out of all the possible outcomes. A player's odds are based on how many chances they have out of all of the possible outcomes. Since only a single winning combination is chosen for pick 3 then the game odds are that 1 winning combination in the 1000 possible combinations. A player with one ticket has odds of 1 in 1000, and player with 2 ticke

Florida's Billion Dollar Blockbuster
Actually, the odds for Billion Dollar Blockbuster weren't good at all. Sure, the odds at a million were the best chance at hitting money like that, but the odds at the lower-tiered prize levels were awful. That's what is so deceptive and despicable about this whole situation--the only benefit for BDB was that you had a better chance at hitting a million dollars. Otherwise, odds at breaking even, winning twenty-five, thirty, and fifty dollars were the worst odds for any $20 game. The odds at hitt

Do some number combinations have better odds?
You would understand WHY gambling is all about the odds, or the edge, if you were beating a game. The lotto isn't that game. But when you have the edge, it absolutely becomes about how much that edge is. It's also about managing risk - but it's not about trying to beat the odds, it's about trying to be the guy who the odds favor. In other words - I don't rely on luck. And as much as you talk about that one day that you hit a 7 spot keno ticket, by that logic you should always play Keno f

Post your scratch ticket results
Thanks for the congratulations, everybody!!! I don't have another good one to share, but playing with house money has been fun! Ed, the $500 I got was honestly just the second one out.... got that 25 burst on Millionaire, then got a losing Jubilee--next Jubilee was the winner. So far I've hit another hundred on millionaire but that didn't last long. Trying to slow play these winnings but you know how that goes! Ha! James, I don't think the new holiday ten dollar game is that bad. I've ha

Do some number combinations have better odds?
We started out trying to prove that some number combinations do have better odds and proved it's possible to create groups of 28 numbers that have better odds than the 1 out of 39 drawings that every group of 28 numbers have. Currently we're trying to reduce the ratio to 1 out of 15 drawings that would give us a mathematical advantage and the potential of winning a substantial amount. Playing 41 QPs gives a player odds of 95,237 to 1 odds of having a five number match and winning $250,000 in

Odds on Misinformation
RJOh, You've hit on a key misunderstanding about the odds of winning. Lets start with something concrete; the odds of winning the Mega Million lotto is 1 in 175,711,536. The odds don't change if you pick a sequence of numbers (7,8,9,10,11; 12 for example), or pick random numbers (19, 25, 29, 33, 51; 18 for example). This is not my opinion, it is fact and reality. If you'd like to hear it from an authority I suggest you check with a casino in Los Vegas - they do not loose money, that's because

Idaho Lottery - largest payout for least invested?
The odds against winning $100 in PB is 13,644 to 1 and that's by matching 3 numbers plus the bonus ball. If you're trying to match 4 numbers to win $100 it's 19,030 to 1 odds. To win $300, you'll need an 3 of those hits. I'm not sure if there is a game with worse odds than PB. The odds against winning $300 in most pick-3 games is 999 to 1 playing a 50 cent straight/box ticket. As for scratch-offs and pull tabs, check the state lottery website and see the odds against winning $300. Most $1 scr

If you Can Not Win Pick3, Play Front and Back Pairs for $8 x $50 = $400
The ratios between the two are the same. You could look for a better odds of happening to payoff odds ratio. Pick 3 digits in first drawing position and the odds against you will be 7 to 3 or 2.33 to 1 and pick 3 digits in the second position with the same odds. The odds against hitting the 9 front pairs are 5.44 to 1 and the payoff odds are 4.56 to 1. I can get a $60 to $1 payoff in KY where the payoff odds of 5.67 to 1 slightly exceeds the odds of 5.44 to 1 against happening.

Playing Holiday instant tickets.
About the odds, I've noticed the odds climbing up for GA's scratchers as well. A couple of years ago, we would get new instant games with odds for $2 in the 3.6 or low 3.7-range and $5 in the 3.3 to 3.5-range and $10 tickets with odds lower than 3. Jingle Jumbo Bucks is the first new $10 game in a long time to have odds lower than 3. Recent $2 tickets (except for Stocking Stuffer, with overall odds of 3.76) have been near 4 if not over that (Loteria, despite me having decent luck on them, has th
