Yes, you are correct about playing numbers for a long time and then a person decides to quit and play 'new' numbers ... and sure enough they come bouncing out in a few days. It has happened ... I have read some horror stories over the years in which this has happened. My first setup with groups set at BPWPBBBBWW matched 9 of 10 again for group filters. Ronnie316 didn't have number 10 in his numbers and me blocking group G (42) left me with the best I can do of matching 3+0. I did have alot of lines with 2+0 matches. I was off by one on digits 3, 4, and 0 and missed Group G but nailed all of the other filters for 51 of 55 filters set correctly.
