Are scratch tickets a total waste?
go to any state lottery web site and click see the winners. i doubt the winners would say they were a waste. on the other hand there are far more losers than winners. Doesn't matter what roll or book the tickets came from there are so many of them and so few places get the books or rolls with the big winners that there is no way to determine who might have a winning book. places that sell lots of scratchers tend to get more winners as they are selling many books or rolls of tickets. bu

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Hi GermanScratcher, for sure it never hurts to do the 2nd chance if you have spare time to enter the tickets. If you've not already done so you'll need to create an account on the FL Lotto web site and get to the 2nd chance area. The promotion code entry field is just under the Ticket Number entry field in the Ticket Entry page. The promo code is explained in the Rules page (see item #3 on that page). Basically the code can be gotten on one of several social media sites. A different code will be

Any NJ Scratcher's?
I'm an NJ scratcher. I can't say if NJ is better or worse than other states, because the only other state I play in is NY. In NY, the prizes are higher for tickets $5 and up, e.g the typical top prize for a $5 ticket is $1 million, and in NJ it's $150k. However, in NY, you get paid over 20 years; in NJ, it's all at once (except for the Win For Life games). I look at the NJ lottery web site and read the details on the various scratchers. You can learn a lot this way and make more informed deci

Best scratch game?

Lots are given as gifts to people who don't play the lottery on a regular bases. They overlook lots of winners and throw them away. A perfect example is my girlfriend. She only plays the lottery when Powerball gets above $100 million, and only then if I remind her. I gave her one of those $20 tickets with a guaranteed prize of $10 at Christma

$750,000 Winner - Jingle Jumbo Bucks - 2010
Guess what I just found myself, a real gem. No not a winning ticket, but the next best thing. I have found a website that lists ALL of the odds for a game her in GA. I don't know where he got it, but I have been looking for it forever. Up until now, I only knew about top prizes. I am so excited. It is interesting to know that you have better odds of winning $100 than you do of winning $40 or $50 in this game. I may just have to start a new thread. For example here is Jingle Jumbo Bucks: $10 t

I think I got ripped off
No, you don't have to enter the amount that you win, the machine does all that for you. The only people that are ripping the people off in Virginia lottery scratch games are the VIRGINIA LOTTERY OFFICIALS. If you will check the web site on the Va. scratch tickets, you will find that the unclaimed prizes never change from week to week on the $20.00 tickets. The only amounts that are won are a break even $20.00 if you are lucky enough to get $20.00 out of three or four $20.00 tickets. They s

calif scratchers 2nd chance
FYI Noticed a big jump in entries this week for the weekly scratchers drawing. Realized that the 500/month entry limit goes to 1000/week when the week spans 2 separate months. Someone entering 1000 $20 tickets that week (500 in March and 500 in April) gets 20000 entries. I am going to avoid those weeks with my 100 or so entries. Also, I know someone who bought 10 entire books of $5M Jackpot tickets. 2 sets of 5 consecutive books. Result-you can't predict which #'s are going to pay. Totally ra

My tips/strategies for winning.
Tips/Strategies to increase your chances at buying winning scratch tickets. Note- I use these in Massachusetts0 see how they work in your home state! 1. Every store has a trash receptacle. Make sure you walk by it on the way to the register. Chances are it will have allegedly losing tickets in it. This means someone did you the favor of weeding out the bad tickets, leaving the winners there for you to buy! If there are a bunch of a certain kind of tix in the trash- BUY THAT KIND OF TICK
