Virginia Governor Timothy M. Kaine on Wednesday appointed a veteran Richmond city agency chief to head the Virginia Lottery. In its first few months of operation, the N.C. Education Lottery is spending most of its money on staff salaries, contracted services and new vehicles. Oregon Lottery workers to vote on joining union
Ballots were mailed Monday to the homes of 307 Oregon State Lottery workers, to see if they want to unionize. Workers can choose to empower Local 503 of Service Employees International Union to represent them for collective bargaining or to retain the status quo and have no union.
