They're used by all sorts of groups to raise money, and now the Iowa Lottery is preparing to launch its first ever raffle, joining several other state lotteries across the nation that have done the same. Indiana Lottery finds $13,000 mistake
Data entry error. Winning Hoosier Lottery tickets totaling $12,935 may have been mistaken for non-winning tickets after two drawings this summer because of a data entry error, the lottery said Wednesday. The mistake concerns ticket holders with 4 of 6 or 5 of 6 winning numbers in the Hoosier Lotto drawings of June 23 and Aug. 8. Acting director named for New York Lottery
A former deputy director of the New York Lottery has been named acting director of the organization. Gurney replaces Robert McLaughlin, who served as Director of the New York Lottery from November, 2006 to August, 2007. Kansas Lottery sets sales record
The Kansas Lottery hits the jackpot itself record sales are recorded for the fiscal year ended June 30th. Lottery officials report sales of nearly $241 million. The drawing date for the Kentucky Lottery's latest raffle-style game is being postponed due to slower than expected ticket sales.
