Florida Lottery to resume drawings Tuesday
The Florida Lottery announced Monday that daily drawings will resume today and make-up drawings for all Lottery Draw games suspended due to Hurricane Irma will also be conducted in sequence Tuesday, September 12, with full security and auditing measures in place.
The lottery had previously suspended daily drawings for all games starting Sunday on the order of Gov. Rick Scott, due to the potential catastrophic impacts of Hurricane Irma.

An executive order issued Sunday by Gov. Rick Scott has temporarily suspended Florida Lottery drawings as Hurricane Irma bears down on the state.

New Jersey Lottery launches new Quick Draw game
Kick-off party to be held Tuesday in Hoboken

The New Jersey Lottery today launched the fast-paced Quick Draw game in 400 locations across the state.
Quick Draw, a keno-style game, offers a type of lottery play new to the state, in which winning numbers are electronically drawn and then displayed on a television screen that is installed in retail locations where tickets are sold. Drawings are held every five minutes.

Florida Lottery revamps daily game lineup

The Florida Lottery is overhauling some of its long-running daily games, adding two new games and renaming two others.
Lottery officials announced last week that it is launching two new daily games called Pick 2 and Pick 5 Monday, Aug. 1.
Pick 2 players can select two numbers, from 0 through 9, to win a top prize of up to $50 for a Straight play, up to $25 for a Box play, or up to $37.50 for a Straight/Box play.

Kentucky Lottery now offers problem gambling info via text or chat
For nearly two decades, people in Kentucky have been able to call 1-800-GAMBLER (1-800-426-2537) to speak with a counselor concerning issues with problem gambling. This service has now been expanded to include text and online chat capabilities.

Nebraska Lottery chooses new director
Brian Rockey, former manager in the Nebraska Department of Revenue's Lottery and Charitable Gaming Division, will return as its director beginning July 1, Tax Commissioner Tony Fulton announced Monday.
Rockey, 55, worked for the division in capacities including marketing manager from its startup in 1993 through 2011. He then worked for International Game Technology (IGT, formerly known as GTECH), the primary contractor for the state lottery.

8 people to split $429.6 million Powerball lottery jackpot in NJ
The New Jersey Lottery has announced a press conference will be held at their headquarters Friday afternoon to introduce the winners of last week's Powerball. The press conference will be held at 3:00 p.m.
The announcement comes a little less than a week after a winning Powerball ticket was sold at a 7-11 store in Trenton, New Jersey.
Eight winners will be shareholders of that $429.6 million Powerball jackpot.

Texas Lottery starts new 'Texas Triple Chance' game next week

Texas Lottery players will be getting a brand new game to play, starting next week.
On Sunday, Sept. 27, tickets for the new Texas Triple Chance game will go on sale at lottery retailers throughout the state. It is the Texas Lottery's first all-new draw game since All or Nothing was launched on Sept. 9, 2012.
