A former senior executive at the Minnesota State Lottery who was fired amid a bout with alcohol abuse is suing her ex-boss and the state on claims she was discriminated against because of her gender and her chemical dependency.

Florida Lottery Secretary Cynthia O'Connell is stepping down with the announcement coming days after reports surfaced that she spent more than $30,000 on travel last year.

Serbian lottery chief resigns amid drawing scandal

The head of Serbia's national lottery has resigned after a television graphic during this week's draw appeared to predict a winning number.
The incident triggered outrage and dominated front-pages in the Balkan country, where Serbs had hoped the lottery was above the corruption that permeates much of national life.

Wyoming Lottery to release salaries
The Wyoming Lottery board voted 8-1 at a special meeting Monday to release salary information for board members and employees.
Lottery CEO Jon Clontz said he will distribute the salary information Tuesday.
After the salary issue was decided, the board passed a provisional budget for the upcoming fiscal year with $27 million in projected revenues but didn't have copies of the projections for the public to view.

Wyoming Lottery refuses to release individual salaries
The Wyoming Lottery Corp. wants to keep its salaries and benefits secret from the public, with officials saying disclosure will hurt the new organization from a competitive standpoint.
The Casper Star-Tribune sent a records request to the lottery, asking for compensation of executives and board members. CEO Jon Clontz denied the request May 8.
The lottery and newspaper disagree in the interpretation of the 2013 law that created the organization.

Buddy Roogow, the director of the DC Lottery since 2009, died Saturday after suffering an aneurysm. He was pronounced dead at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. Roogow was 65.

Illinois lottery director calls it quits
Michael Jones' run as Illinois Lottery Director is over.
Late Wednesday Jones sent a brief memo to his Lottery colleagues that said his job there is done. Jones went on to write that he had informed Gov. Bruce Rauner's chief of staff a while ago that he was planning to leave his post. Jones said his immediate plan is to go surfing at my home break, Seapark, next week.

Maryland's lottery director resigns
Stephen Martino, the director of the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency, is leaving his job later this month to become a partner at a private law firm in Baltimore.
In a letter sent to his staff Tuesday morning, Martino wrote that he informed Maryland Governor Larry Hogan's office yesterday that he is resigning his position and that his last day in office will be March 27.
Martino was appointed as director of the agency in 2010 by then governor, Martin O'Malley.
