N.J. Lottery to offer limited raffle-style New Year's drawing
The New Jersey Lottery is offering a special New Year's drawing in which a limited amount of tickets will be sold for four $1 million prizes. Tickets for the drawing, called Million Dollar New Year, go on sale Monday, lottery officials said in a statement. Officials will sell 500,000 tickets costing $20 each, giving contestants a 1-in-125,000 chance of winning one of the four top prizes. Each ticket will have a unique nine digit number on it, and players cannot pick their own number.
