"Go figure, 8000.00 in a year spent and havent won for a year."

"Why would you buy numbers and continue to buy numbers knowing the game is rigged."

Losing Jeff,

No offense here but from the above two post Four4Me is making a very, very, very valid point.

If you have spent 8 grand and not won at all then you need to cut your losses and run. This

seems to have gone from a question about the Indiana lottery being legitimate or not to sort

of an attack on four for somewhat questioning it. I play a lot and know that if you dont have

the numbers then you dont have the numbers, and most of the time for me I will either hit hot

or cold...........just like the pairs. If I felt as strongly as you obviously do then I would definitely

not be putting my money on it. Just my two cents worth.

The lottery officials know that manipulating a ball machine is not easy or practical like it would be with a computer.  Anyone who equates the elaborate scheme that would be required to fix a ball machine with reprogramming a computer is barking up the wrong tree.

Make no mistake: changing back to ball machines will fix many problems, no ifs ands or buts.

Also, I don't think it's anyone's business to question why Jeff wants to keep playing the lottery.  He is a lottery fan, and he's trying to fix a system that appears to be corrupt.  Instead of questioning his desire to play the games that we all love here, let's figure out what we can each do to help.

The only correction I would offer to Jim695 on one of his posts back on the first page of this thread is that we can't wait for this story to break on Fox News (not CNN).  Does anyone still watch CNN anymore?  As far as I know they have a test pattern running over there.

Instead of doing crazy things that smell of distrust, lottery directors should be coming here frequently, and listening to players.  There are a lot of good suggestions on how to improve the games, while being good fiscally.

The NY Lottery doesn't seem to listen to players.

Unfortunately, a lot of them don't.  I do know of a few "good guys" who lurk here and are not the type of people to ignore the players.  You know who you are.

At the same time by continuing to play, Jeff is collecting very valuable data for his and Jim695's cause.

It's one thing to say they just aren't good at their job. It's quite another to be actually corrupt though. Sure I could say that we have many elections officials in King County that are corrupt (Seattle). But they aren't stealing money just elections. The only real corruption a lottery official could have is to get kickbacks for contracts such as with Gametech or rigging a game. I would really doubt any officals would rig a game because the odds of getting caught would be too high. If they get kickbacks then the penalty would be far less.

There's enough lotteries inside and outside the USA that have beeen rigged. That's a fact.

People aren't necessarily afraid of doing time from lottery rigging cos it's a "white collar" crime (and it's most likely only their first offense). No one's gonna see 20 years or death row.

Yes, "off the hook", compared to a rape, murder, or attempted murder charge, etc...
