    It depends.

If it's signed.......You'd have to return it because the courts are going to rule that way anyway.

(Hopefully get a good reward !)

    If not signed............I'd keep it.

But, a lot depends on if it's a quick pick or (picked) numbers.

Also a lot depends on if someone claims he/she lost it !

If it's not signed, it's mine.

I would keep it.  I even check the tickets thrown all over the parking lot of the retailer just in case.  After my dad threw away $5,000 I check all tickets I see.

As for finding a jackpot ticket. If it isn't signed it is mine. As for checking thrown away tickets, I used to work for a convience store. You would not believe the number of winning tickets thrown in the trash. I got $40 off of a winning Cash 3 that was thrown away. And I won alot of smaller amounts from scratchoffs people threw away. Alot of scratchoffs are so convaluted that people just don't understand them. The most I ever got off of a thrown away ticket was $100. It was one of those tickets that you had to match your numbers to the numbers on the board. If you got a blue saphire symbol you automatically got $100. I guess someone thought that since they didn't match any of the numbers they hadn't won. -Bonnie

one person chose to return a jackpot ticket and forty nine chose to keep it,that one person must be a very honest person who could live with not keeping millions of dollars.i would keep the ticket myself i couldn't turn that much down.....

If you found it and it wasn't signed, how would you know who it really belongs to?

if you need to sign the ticket to protect your interest in it, how would you do that if you wanted to collect the winnings in a trust????
