Lantern,

First of all, thanks for your time and your effort in responding to my post.

Just a note about pick 5 filters and we'll consider the topic dead until you specifically address those filters.  There are filter types that do work consistently, but like most only get you part of the way there. And they do not eliminate winning combinations or the winning numbers consistently. You are right though, the standard Pick 3 approaches do not work with pick 5 type games.

Thanks again. We'll pick up this discussion again under another thread.

You are a slave to the choices you have made.  jk

We it turns out that I am not quite ready yet to start, but we will start with a few or some things anyway ready or not.

There are 3 digits on a pick 3 number and to make a pick 3 number you need anyone of 10 digits per pick 3 position: Left position-Middle position-Right position: Lth-M-Rth or 1st-2nd-3rd positions: LMR or ABC or 123.

        Ten possible digits per position from 0 to 9: 10 X 10 X 10 = 1000 pick 3 numbers (straight numbers).

        Of those 1 000, 10 are triple like 000 111 222 333 444 555 666 777 888 999,

         270 are doubles like 001, 100, 010, 667, 848 etc,

        720 are single numbers like 123 830 452 etc.

        -------

Triples are 1 way numbers, in other words the can only be written in one way like 555.

Doubles are 3 way numbers, the can be written in 3 ways like: 440, 044 and 404.

Singles are 6 way numbers, they can be writen or put down in 6 ways like: 123, 132, 213, 231, 312 and 321.

        ---------

Boxed numbers are the straight numbers, but in only one of the ways, so:

        There are 10 boxed triples.

There are 90 boxed doubles, 270/3 = 90 boxed doubles.

There are 120 boxed singles, 720/6 = 120 boxed singles.

The High-Low digit pattern as put here is an straigth only filter.

There is a trick to also make it a boxed filter, but later on that.

                Low-High filter:

                0 1 2 3 4 are Low digits.

                5 6 7 8 9 are High digits.

There are  1 digit filters. Like above single digits.

                2 digit filters. 63 = HL, 07 = LH, 12 = LL, 95 = HH.

                3 digit filters. 830 = HLL.

There are 8 High-Low digit patterns:

                HHH

                LLL

                HHL

                LHH

                HLH

                LLH

                HLL

                LHL

That is just to better show you how the patterns are put for the combos.

These should be done for the Midday draw, the Evening draw and for both draws together.

So you will have 3 charts, if the states have only one draw then you will do only 1 chart.

                    hmmm... 8 choices for High/Low

                    HHH,HHL,HLH,HLL,LHH,LHL,LLH,LLL

8 choices for vtrac strings (using V=vtrac, a=first number V represents, b=second number, for example V1=a0 or b5)

VaVaVa, VaVaVb, VaVbVa, VaVbVb, VbVaVa, VbVaVb, VbVbVa, VbVbVb

                    8 choices for odd/even

                    OOO,OOE,OEO,OEE,EOO,EOE,EEO,EEE

guess a good rule of thumb would be that any filter that has a binary component (2 choices, H/L, VaVb, O/E) will have 8 resultant possibilities in a pick 3 scenario and 16 in a pick 4... (HHHH,HHHL,HHLH,HHLL,HLHH,HLHL,HLLH,HLLL,LHHH,LHHL,LHLH,LHLL,LLHH,LLHL,LLLH,L)LLL

Am I getting this so far?

Playing more than one ticket per game is betting against yourself.

The same numbers on the right show the repeat of same patterns.

                      The HLH was very Hot.

                      The HHL was very cold.

The HLH came out 3 times in a row.

The LLL came out 2 times in a row.

Some patterns didn't come out on those draws.

In those 10 draws there were only 4 patterns out of the 8 possible patterns.

10 draws are too few to see the movement of patterns.

But this shows that the High-Low pattern repeats some from 1 draw to the next every so often and or maybe often enough, those are too few draws to tell for sure.

6 times out of 9 there were changes of patterns from one draw to the next and 3 times out of 9 the same pattern repeated, the same patern came 1 times up to 3 times, but no more.

That is all on that for now, to have done the draws 2 separated and 1 combined would had given very much and better information.

                        hmmm... 8 choices for High/Low

                        HHH,HHL,HLH,HLL,LHH,LHL,LLH,LLL

8 choices for vtrac strings (using V=vtrac, a=first number V represents, b=second number, for example V1=a0 or b5)

VaVaVa, VaVaVb, VaVbVa, VaVbVb, VbVaVa, VbVaVb, VbVbVa, VbVbVb

                        8 choices for odd/even

                        OOO,OOE,OEO,OEE,EOO,EOE,EEO,EEE

guess a good rule of thumb would be that any filter that has a binary component (2 choices, H/L, VaVb, O/E) will have 8 resultant possibilities in a pick 3 scenario and 16 in a pick 4... (HHHH,HHHL,HHLH,HHLL,HLHH,HLHL,HLLH,HLLL,LHHH,LHHL,LHLH,LHLL,LLHH,LLHL,LLLH,L)LLL

Am I getting this so far?

                        Hypersoniq

                        Let us see:

                        High-Low:

                        H-L Times H-L Times H-L = 2 X 2 X 2 = 8 for pick 3

                        ---

                        H-L Times H-L Times H-L Times H-L = 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 = 16 Patterns for the pick 4.

                        You are right.

Every one of the 8 patterns "Holds" or has 125 straight pick 3 numbers.

                          HHH  5 6 7 8 9 X 5 6 7 8 9 X 5 6 7 8 9 = 5 XX 5 = 125 straight combos.

                          LLL   0 1 2 3 4  X 0 1 2 3 4 X 0 1 2 3 4 = 5 x 5 x 5 = 125

                          HHL  5 6 7 8 9 X 5 6 7 8 9 X 0 1 2 3 4 = 5 x 5 x 5 = 125

                          LHH  0 1 2 3 4 x 5 6 7 8 9 x 5 6 7 8 9 = 125

                          HLH  5 6 7 8 9 x 0 1 2 3 4 x 5 6 7 8 9 = 125

                          LLH  0 1 2 3 4 x 0 1 2 3 4 x 5 6 7 8 9 = 125

                          HLL  5 6 7 8 9 x 0 1 2 3 4 x 0 1 2 3 4 = 125

                          125 x 8 = 1000 straight combos.

                            0-1-7  LLH  1

In 10 draws there were only 5 patterns out of the 8 possible ones.

LHL was HOT it came out 4 times out of 10 draws.

3 patterns were COLD and 3 patterns didn't come out at all on the 10 draws.

LLH was also HOT, but not as much.

Most of the time the patterns changed from one draw to the next, except for one time.

The very hot pattern repeated either on the next draw or on the one after that one.

As I said before, the High-Low pattern in that way, is a straight pick 3 pattern, but can be changed to be both, boxed and straight, a little later on that.

                              Texas both draws combined.

                              314  LLL  5

                              962  HHL  6

                              312  LLL  5

                              107  LLH  1

                              205  LLH  1

                              905  HLL  4

                              916  HLL  4

                              074  LHL    3

                              829  HLH  2

                              215  LLH  1

There are 6 out of 8 patterns on 10 draws. (Mixed draws)

LLH was very hot came out 3 times out of 10.

HLL and  LLL were warm, came out 2 times each on 10 draws.

Some came out once on 10 draws and some didn't come out at all.

2 patterns repeated on the next draw the rest didn't not.

Most draws' patterns were different from one draw to the next.
