If you'd prefer I don't post on the forums I'll cease doing so.
If you believe I'm doing something that breaks the rules, or something you don't allow others to do, point that out and I'll cease doing that.
At the moment I neither like, nor dislike it here. If you'll be more precise in making your point I'll do my best to answer, or change my behavior.
I'm not sure which poll you're referring to.
But we needn't circle around the issue. If you've been reading the threads you'll have seen there's a great deal of dissatisfaction being expressed. Not just by me, but also by a significant number of users of this forum.
I can't insist and don't intend on trying to insist that what's okay for one member isn't okay for another. But I think I have a right to ask you to explain why it mightn't be okay for me to do in fun what someone else is doing for reasons that don't involve fun.
Tell me to shut up and only use the predictions board, and that's what I'll do with no further adeu.

After I'd made that last post I found myself asking who, if anyone, was, or would be offended by them.
If someone's been offended by something I'd said on them I'd certainly be interested in knowing who, and what it was about the threads or the individual posts that they found offensive.
I'd be saddened to think I've actually done something in posting these threads to cause harm to anyone. But if the only person(s) inconvenienced by them are Lottery Queen and Kander, et al, the threads are only an echo of their own behavior over the past months.
If someone hasn't found them offensive I'd be interested in knowing what prompted your post.

Jack,
I'm not sure you're so thrown by my questions. Me's thinkin' that the "thank you" posts were a way to continue making your point that you don't like Lottery Queen and her supporters. Isn't that what you're doin'?
Methinks it would be better if you could follow her lead and combine the thanks into one thread, like I've done with your latest posts as an example (into this thread).
Lookin' back at my post I'm not seein' where I said "don't do [something]."
I said "it would be nice", because it makes my job (as the Administrator of this website) easier, and the forums a bit cleaner.
But if you want to express yourself like that, I s'pose it doesn't break the rules, and in that case I'll just shut up and stay out of your way.

Not precisely true. I couldn't care less one way or the other about LQ and her supporters.
I do, however, sincerely believe they're spamming the Discussion Forum and have been doing so for months, with material that actually is a nuisance to a lot of users on the board. They post hundreds of times each day to bump their threads, pushing others down.
I believe this and others here believe this is true, and that it needn't be true.
Not many months ago you asked people posting pick 3 predictions to move to that forum. You offended a number when you did it, but I believed you did a proper thing in the interests of the overall membership.
I have no idea what your motives are for allowing LQ and Kander to do what they are doing. You have every right to allow it, as the owner. It's none of my business why.
However, I thought there was a possibility you were busy enough doing other things so's you actually hadn't noticed how many and how much hmmm tension has resulted from your tacit approval of what's going on there. Tension on a widespread basis of which I'm a tiny part.
I initiated those threads because of a series of posts yesterday related obliquely to the LQ/Kander phenomenon. There was rancor in the threads, but there was also some fun.
I posted these threads as fun, on the one part, a tension release for everyone who was feeling some (and feel it succeeded in that regard), and as a not-so-subtle means of calling you're attention to what's happening on all this, in case you'd been too busy to notice.
Frankly, I think the LQ/Kander phenomenon is damaging LQ, which I dislike seeing happen. I also believe it's eroding the confidence and respect many of the older members feel for you. The reason's only that it's inconsistent with your usual response to such things, and has been until this one. The reason is that your response to such things in past times has been part of the foundation that confidence and respect was built on for all members.
I like LP and dislike to see anything fracture what it has. I appreciate you and dislike seeing what's happening in that regard, as well. I'd thought you might be unaware of that aspect of things, so I'm giving you my perspective on it.
It mightn't be correct, but it's my honest view of it.

Sorry to hear that you feel that older members have less confidence and respect in me, and that you feel there is widespread tension, and that you feel LP has been damaged.
That's certainly a lengthy diagnosis, and I'm glad that you care enough about the forums to express it.
If you're serious about your concern, I hope that you'll explore ways of helping solve the problem, rather than adding to it.
