My hubby and I like sports betting.

Tennis, Golf, Football, Baseball, Basketball, You name it.

I even had money on Bush in the last election. With high hopes of losing the money.

Unfortunately, I won...

I mainly play the lottery, but when I visit family members who live in Nevada, I end up playing the slot machines. I've always been too scared to actually sit down at a table and play poker and blackjack with other people (even though I've always wanted to). One of these days, I may actually get up the courage to do it. lol.

I'll bet on just about anything.I guess that makes me a degenerate gambler.Could be worse....I could be just a plain old degenerate.

Try finding a table with only one person and then have the dealer to show you how to play. Even if you know something about it. If they think you don't know, they will walk you through it.

I love the keno machines at the bars. I can play those for hours... And Roulette. It took me several trips to try Roulette. Then I only played black/red odd/even...

Now I play only inside bets.

I am scared/wary of putting my money in the slot machines. I like to have some kind of control when I gamble.

I usually stick to a limit when I play slot machines, so when I lose the money I don't freak out. Next time I go, I may just find a table with one or two people at it. I do know how to play, it's just I am more comfortable playing with people I know.

Only lotto, I suck at gambling as it is so just spending a couple bucks when the jackpot gets to a decent level is enough for me, how much I spend depends on how high it is of course, gotta fight the urge to go completely nuts. Another reason why I stay away from the other forms of gambling.

YOu have to understand when people gamble is because they think they can beat the system, so is basically "MISCALCULATION"....Gambling is basically a miscalculation a continous miscalculation

What do you think the people in the stock market who continously lose millions of dollars are? THEY ARE GAMBLERS, but nobody calls them that because of our notions of our sugar daddies basically...Because "OHH he is involve in the stock market" that's why nobody calls them gamblers...

And suppose you get a stroke which can happen to any body, are you then a degenerate?

Degenerates are those people that sexually abuse babies or the people in the top who don't want change for the better....Those are really degenerates..

if somebody won millions of dollars and then lost it foolishly they are not degenerates, is practically normal, what happens is they were overwhelmed by money, unprepared for it...

And if you carefully look at the meaning of that word you will see that a "HUMAN BEING" can not possibly be a degenerate"......Degenerate is a word reserved for "SATAN"...

There are thousands of books about Blackjack and other casino games. Some books even explain how to exchange your money for chips and where on the layout to place your bet. Most casino gift shop have cards with basic hitting strategy and some casinos allow players to use them for actual play.

Most Blackjack games are dealt with the cards face up and the dealer must peek when they turn up a face or an ace. It would be nice if the dealer could give players hitting, staying, doubling down, or splitting advice after knowing their total, but the Pit Bosses won't allow that. At best dealers can only tell new players the rules of the game.

I agree. Degenerates are the creatures our so called government
keeps releasing back into society to distract us from watching what
the pols do with our money. Trusting pols with your money, that's
real gambling !!!

In gambling the only degenerates are those who lose everything
and can't stop, even betting the rent and baby's milk money.

According to Merriam-Webster online, one of the definitions of degenerate is mathematically simpler as in degenerate hyperbola. I think this might apply to people who insist they have a winning system and will beat Mega Millions. For some reason 170 million to 1 odds just doesn't sink in, sort of like driving down a one way street passing "Do Not Enter"and wondering why everyone is honking.
