First off, hi everyone, I'm steve and i'm new here. Hows it going? :)

I was wondering if there was any place online or perhaps somebody here has a text file or something of all possible mega million number combinations, I'll take the combos for 5 numbers or for 5 numbers and the mega ball, either or. I searched high and low, couldn't find anything. I even tried searching for online combination calculators, the only i found available to me was a trial version of "Combinations!" and it won't even let me do all the numbers, only up to 10. So if someone maybe knows of a free one i can try online that'd be cool too.

Could anyone help? Appreciate it. Thanks :)

    Uummm..   Steve,

There are probably Millions of combinations that can be played, and I dout anyone would take time to put them together,  although it's possible I guess.  And it might take days to print.

Now I'm sure that if you'r looking for something like, the ones that have already been played. well then, yea your in the right spot.     Mabey look for a member named Raven62. for the ones that have already been played.

        Anyway.... welcolm aboard Lottery Post.

I don't think so but some software program should be able to do it if you could write the formula. there will be 175,711,536 individual lines of 5 numbers and the mega balls.

      5 + 1Jackpot     1 in 175,711,536

As of this week there have only been 363 drawings since Friday, June 24, 2005 the last matrix change.

        Welcome to Lottery Post steve33825!

I don't know the answer to your question, but maybe there is some who has more experience with adding lottery data can help you. However like four3me and x1kosmic have mentioned that is a lot of combinations and it would probably take days for you to be able to sort or print or do whatever with the number sets.

Ion Saliu has a program Combinations.exe on his website.  I got a copy a few years ago when it was free.  I think he has since required a fee to get copies of his program.

           This program generates lotto combinations in STEPS at user's choice;
           e.g. lotto-6 combinations skipping 1000 combinations.
The program looks at all the combinations in the game
in lexicographical order. For example, in a 6/10 game
there are 210 combinations; if STEP=90, then only the combinations
index #1, #91 and #181 will be generated.
The generation always starts at index #1.
The default step is 1: no skipping; all the combinations
are generated. It may take a while for big-number games!
Also, the combination files can get extremely large!
For more info read: his website

I can print out the combinations for you, but it will take about 30 hours on my PC.  The file will also be fairly large.  Maybe a little explination on what you are trying to do and we can give you some suggestions on an easier way to accomplish the task?

Stew, do you have a software that generates the combinations or you just have the entire list of the combinations? If it's from the software, does it have inspection with sum, high low mix, odd even mix?

Thanks RJOh.  You're always a great source of historical perspective on these things.  It's pitiful that "angry Ion" is actually charging money for that.  Maybe I'll write a quick piece of code (for free, of course), so people can do it on their PCs.

Ooo 30 hours, ouch, i don't wanna clog up that much time on your pc, that wouldnt be cool to do to u. Well, I don't know, I wasn't really gonna try anything specific, maybe a couple things I had in mind. I'm already putting together a numerological order list of all the combos that have been played so far, i'm half way done. I just wanted to look at that one and look at the complete list of all the combos to see if i could come up with something to help you all out.

Would it make it any easier to find all the combos that START with ONE of the 56 numbers? Like for instance all the possible combos that start with the number 1 as the first number or 2

                  i.e. 1 _ _ _ _ + _

                  i.e. 2 _ _ _ _ + _

If this could be done with or without the megaball number, that'd be cool. I know without the megaball number, it would be like 550,000 total combinations.

That will still take a bit to compute. If Todd doesn't beat me to it, I'll see if I can get a little Windows App together that does the trick.

I have it built into my software.  The code itself isn't complex, just a nested 'for' loop that prints out all possible combinations for any max number input.

If you could, thats great, I hope its not too much work for you. If I could just all the possible combinations that begin with the first number as 1, I think it will be easy for me to do the rest myself, all I will have to do is copy/paste it 56 times and keep changing the first number for all 56 sets of numbers until (eventually) I have all combos that begin with every number.... if you get what I mean. Sorry if that sounds confusing what i'm explaining.

If you really want to play all the wheeled number it is 773,059 so you have 8000 to throw away go for it.  It takes two black in cartreges to wheel them.  Also Gail Howard has a disc that does it for you.Smiley Santa

I know what you're saying, but that would result in a number of duplicates and be a PITA to clear out by hand.  You sure you are going to be able to work with 175,711,516 combinations by hand?

Yeah Well I mean eventually i would get them all, i just feel bad about clogging ur PC for 30 hrs, dude lol... I'll let you decide, if you want to give all of them, thats cool - If you want to just give me all the combos that only begin with 1 out of 56 numbers, thats great too. Which do you feel more comfortable doing?
