Last night my wife and I wheeled a series of numbers, we were going to run down to the local c-store and make the purchase, we printed our numbers off, but got busy and before we knew it, it was late night.    We did not go.    This morning I woke up and while having my coffee I picked up the sheet of paper with our printed numbers on it and went to the Florida lottery website.   The third line down of our series of wheeled numbers was 5/5 of the Florida Fantasy 5 game. . .we had won!     I woke my wife up and told her, she felt sick also, now I'm depressed and just feel sick to my stomach.

Have any of you guys ever done anything similiar?    We play 2 or 3 times a week (15 to 20 dollars at a time), but now I don't even feel like fooling with it anymore - I feel I've missed my chance, because of laziness and a TV show.

This is known as the "you snooze, you lose" syndrome. It happens to all of us at one time or another. It just wasn't meant for you to win last night.Don't give up playing the lottery because of this or you will never win a jackpot.

      And welcome to Lottery Post.

          Sad

I know the feeling but on a much smaller scale.

This has happened to me before where I got hung up, lazy or busy with something else and didn't

go out and play big four or daily's and sure enough they came up. Kicked myself but drove on.

Missing the big one would be a sick, sick feeling.

          Advice:

          Do NOT give up.

          Keep playing.

          Keep wheeling your numbers.

You had it once, you can have it again.

Look at the stories of multiple wins for some people.

I've read about people winning something big then not much later doing it again.

          Keep the faith.

          Keep at it.

As long as you're alive and kicking you have more than one chance.

          Good luck.

          Smile

Yes I know the feeling and I am sorry that you are going through it now. No Nod

I missed out on winning a $5,000 prize and a $500 dollar prize on Wild Card 2, when I didn't make it to the store to play my regular numbers. Although it wasn't a big jackpot prize like you missed out on, it still would have been nice to win a prize of that size.

Now when I prepare a set of numbers to play, I always, always make sure I get to the store. It was a hard lesson to learn about not playing ones numbers. Don't give up playing. You never know, you may end up winning one day!

If you gamble long enough you will win and if you gamble long enough you will screw up..I have made so many mess ups I just say it's a lesson in life..Don't give up..You win more by mistake then you do on purpose..It's like horse racing if you race a horse long enought they will lose sooner or later..Good luck and that's all it is is luck..

We cannot accept the blame for everything that occurs in life, things happen. It is up to each of us to use these things to our advantage whenever possible and take charge of our lives. It is our responsibility to use whatever tools are at our disposal to achieve the goals we set, no matter the obstacle.

Everyone has things in their life they value. Some people value family and community, others value wealth and having fun. There are no right or wrong answers when it comes to values, they just are. Regardless of what you value, all values adhere to one fundamental truth: the more you align your life's activities to your values, the happier you will be.

As the old saying goes, been there, done that.

Many years ago a friend of mine and myself went together to purchase a lottery program that just came out on the market it was new and sort of expensive so we both fit half of the billing for the purchasing. Anyway, we were going to play the Pick 5 game. I told Randy I would make a sheet of 10 numbers to play using their software and he do likewise and together take our 20 picks and start playing them for a week or two and see how we were going to do. Randy and I were to start playing the very next night. He comes up to me at work and met me at the door (we worked midnights at the time) with a very disturbed look on his face and said, we had already missed it, at this point I have no idea what he is talking about, he hands me his paper with his 10 picks and points to a line and says, this one, this one came in, I said, how many numbers? He looks at me like a deer in the headlights and says, all of them! We checked them against the lotto hotline and the automated voice confirmed what Randy was saying we had indeed missed the Pick 5 by one night. When the selection paper was produced by the program it put a time stamp on the printed page so I knew he was not kidding we had just missed $50,000 dollars. After it was all said and done, I looked at him and said well, at least we know the program works! We will do it again...We played that way for a while and never got more than 3 number right ever again.

So I know how you are feeling and I feel for you. Puke

I truly know exactly how you feel. It happened to me on Thursday, November 16, 2006 in the NC Carolina Cash 5. I did the same exact thing you did too, wheeled my numbers and choose the ones to play, the first 7 on my list. It was cold and rainy that night and I had a 10 month old and a 9 year old who had school the next day to get ready and go to the store. I couldn't send my hubby because he worked 3rd shift at the time and he was at work already. Well I stayed up, watched the drawing and at approx. 11:22pm they held the drawing. I saw the balls roll down 1 by 1 and I thought I was dreaming because by the time the 3rd ball rolled down, I KNEW I was in trouble and that I would have won the jackpot. Well once the 5th and final ball fell, I ran to the computer and looked at the 7 numbers I highlighted to play off of my sheet and then I looked at my cards and it was the 3rd number out of the set of 7 rows. To make matters worse, I would have had 3 other rows with 4 numbers right and someone in Hickory, NC won the jackpot worth $329,019 off of 2-4-7-23-36 that night, instead of me sharing it. I was sick for a week and didn't sleep for 3 days, but I got over it and it made me stronger and even more determined. As a matter of fact, I've wheeled about 5 other 5 of 5 cash 5 jackpots since and didn't play them either, because those times I would have had to spend about $3,000 to win it and I would have had to do it for about 4 days just for it to happen. Nothing has come together so easy like it did that cold rainy night of November 16, 2006.

Good luck in the future and whatever you do, don't give up!
