you just won the lotto. you have to go to the lotto office to get the winning ticket authenticated so you can collect your millions.

How would you get there? Would you drive yourself in your car or would you take a limo or taxi?

I would take a taxi. The lotto office is only about a half hour drive from my house but I'd probably be too excited or nervous to drive myself. Also my local lotto office is in a busy part of downtown and if we got into a fender bender on the way over to the office, it would be the cab driver's fault not mine.

What about you? How would you get to the lotto office?

I would definitely need a driver.

Vehicle of choice would be a limo (if I had the $$).

More than likely, I would get my best friend to drive me.

    I am a millionaire!

I would drive myself because there is no need for anyone to know that I won not matter how much the prize is.

I would ride Bessie, my mule.  I would wear worn, faded, ripped jeans, a dilapidated, sweat-stained cowboy hat, boots with holes in the soles, a red fannel shirt stained with chewing tobacco, while chewing on a straw.  When asked what I would do with the money, I would say "Buy me a new mule."

I'd be a passenger in The Enforcer's car.  That's the guy who makes sure no photos are taken, no press conferences are scheduled, no unnecessary questions are asked.

I'm not going anywhere of the sort! My attorney will make that trip for me to the lottery office and give them the proper paperwork to claim the jackpot using a trust as the claimant! Cheers

Why would you claim it in a trust?  You live in Delaware.

There is a book that discusses this.  I guess that is why I would talk to an attorney first.  In the state where I live, a trust can claim, but the beneficiaries are mentioned as part of the right to know laws.

More than likely hire an executive car service....if i drive, and get into an accident, I could get sued, even it wasn't my fault and lose it all.  If I did drive, I would leave early in the morning with a fire proof safe in the car's back seat, probably rent a car. Then I would wait in a nearby parking lot and enter when I know the doors are open.

You can always indicate that you are interviewing for a job and your car is broken.  I wouldn't want a friend to drive me.  You could also have the car drive you to a nearby address..and then take a cab to the lottery place.

i've thought about this for the two states I play in.  one is easy because there are other govt agencies in the same building.  The other (my home state) is more challenging because they are the only tenant in the building so it would be a dead give away.

I guess what you could do is stake out the lottery location for logistical purposes and figure out how to do it.

yeah I never thought of that. I'd probably tell the cab driver to take me to an address that's about a block away from the office and then walk the rest of the way. I could just imagine what would be going through a cab driver's mind if someone asked to be driven to the lottery office.
