I see you and Sully are big Marvin Gaye fans RL. I like him too but when I get into that genre I start thinking about Al Green. (No, not the one who ran for the Senate in SC, lol).

Top 3

Tired of Being Alone

Here I Am (Come and Take Me)

Love and Happiness

Hard to think of either of them without thinking of the Temps, Smokey, The Four Tops and the rest of MoTown from those days. I loved all of that stuff.

Top 4 I'm getting lucky songs.

Let's stay together..Al Green

Close the door...Teddy Pendergrass

Let's get it on ...Marvin Gaye.

Tonights the Night...Rod Stewart

Did you exchange a walk on part in the war ?

For a lead role in a cage?

First time I heard that song was May 5, 1969 when I was on the way to the airport to go to boot camp.

For some reason though I've always liked it and I've even considered it a lucky song.

Do you have a lucky song?

      What is it?

"Help Me Make It Through The Yard"

(sung to the tune of Help Me Make It Through The Night) Ringtones right icon

Take the rosebush from my hair
Shake loose all these little thorns
            What's the sprinkler doing on
So dam early in the morn?

            Comin' home at five a.m.
Lord this sidewalk sure is hard
Guess I drank too much again
Help me make it through the yard

            I don't care what's right or wrong
I'm too drunk to even stand
            I ain't asking for forgiveness
Just take your foot off of my hand

Put some coffee on the stove
And we'll go and find the car

I swear I'll never drink again

I love it!!   Music and memories are like another language.

I have quite a collection range.... over 800 of the 45 rpms and enough LP albums that are about 6 feet when stacked.

              Thank you Maggie.

I'm jealous about that record collection. I unwisely gave mine away years ago.

You didn't mention what song or songs inspire you or make you feel lucky though.

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.
