Hey All,

I just joined the forum because a friend and I are going halves on a roll next weekend:we're buying a $1000 dollar roll. I can't wait!! It's been 10 years since I've gone in on a roll.... lately I've been on a losing streak. Hit $500 on  a Gold Rush (#22 on roll) on April 4, 2011 and have LOST on 90% of tickets since then. So, I'm going to go for it all on one roll with a buddy instead of getting a ticket here or a ticket there, etc... In March, I hit $200 on  a Millionaire's Club, $200 on a Monopoly, a couple $100 winners here and there on Gold Rush (ever since the newly re-released Gold Rush, though, haven't hit a thing on Gold Rush)......  Anyway, also in March, hit $200 on a Lucky for Life and it was on 000....first one off the roll. Back in 2004, I hit $500 TWICE in the same night, back to back Lucky for Life games--- got one at a BP gas station, took it to Publix to cash it, asked for $480 and a Lucky for Life from there---and hit 5 hundo on that one!!! I'll never forget that night!!!   That was when the Lucky for Life odds at hitting 5 hundo were roughly the same as Gold Rush's current odds.....Other than the $200 win in March on Lucky for Life, I haven't hit on that game..... I'm excited for this up-coming roll next weekend. I will come back and post results. Glad I found this forum.

How did you make out on the roll you bought ? I don't know what's happening to Gold Rush. In the first week of April I won $500 five times - tickets from 5 or 6 different places and I went after tickets #000 - 010 each time (eleven tickets a pop) Got the $500 hits on #000 - #002 # 002 again #006 #010. Since then I played some 40 tickets to date and best win was $100. I tried the same low numbers (HARD to find) Seems like after the big introduction (or re introduction) on the LOttery site it's been slow, slow.

I know the guy here in town who got the $500K - think it was around the first week in April too ..... he bought two tickets. Go figure it out.

Hope you won big on your roll !!

Hey everyone, I finished scratching off the roll last night. My buddy backed out of the deal, so it took me an extra week or so to be in the position to get the roll myself. I was dead-set on buying that book!  I got a book of Billion Dollar Blockbuster; the funny thing is that I never buy that game in my daily routine-- I strictly got that one as an entire book because it has the best odds of the $20 games for hitting a thousand, and the best odds at a million.... I just had a feeling and wanted that particular game to be the one I got for my roll.....turns out that my feeling was wrong. Got $565 back off the entire roll. Out of 50 tickets, 2 were $100 winners---both star symbols. Here's a breakdown of the winning tickets:

    #001= $25          #013= $20         #025= $100        #045= $40

    #005= $20          #016= $20         #030= $30          #046= $25

    #006= $25          #017= $30         #033= $25

    #007= $25          #019= $50         #035= $100

    #011= $20          #022= $20         #041= $20

Tickets #002 and  #048 had the code "new"  I'm still trying to figure that code out. Of course, the CVW, FTW, etc... those codes don't make sense, but the "new" must signify something.

And that's it......  I've definitely had more luck buying one or two here and there.  It had been 10 years since I bought an entire roll. Now I have to take it easy for a while to recover the losses! But hey, it was a very cool experience-- brought me back 10 years to remembering that anticipation, etc.... I stretched out the whole roll and it's pretty cool to see that whole book of tickets stretched out along the floor and up over the dining room table, etc..  made for a cool video clip. Until next time, keep moving Goodie!

      ***Update***

All the prizes listed above are accurate, but I added them wrong: The return was $595, not $565.  Still not good, but $30 better than I thought....either way, not a good book.

Interestingly, though, this roll was true to the overall odds. 17 winners out of 50 is just slightly better than one in three.

Thanks for sharing your rolls wins. Just an FYI the code NEW means nothing unless it is a win greater than $500. Ive seen a Top Prize tickets before for $250,000, and the code was NEW.

Same goes for CVW, FTW etc etc....Ive had a few $1,000 wins and one was FTW and the other was VTE....Anytime you see a code that is typically a losing code, don't write it off just yet. Could always be a big winner.

        Anyways, Good luck to you
