"I would volt PB and MM because of the odds, I don't know why anyone would even play these games."

I don't undertand why anyone would play a game where the odds are only 1 in 1000. The only way to come out ahead in the lottery is to have results that are improbable. In a game with odds of 1 in 1000 you could get lucky and have an improbable result the very first time you play, but if you continue playing you will almost certainly be in the red again in only 500 days. Even people like David Edwards took many years to be in the red after an improbable result playing PB.

You got it!

You must know my friend at my workplace. You both think alike.

I never understood that convoluted logic.

I tell this to my friend at work all the time but he doesn't get it either. He's an avid p-3 and p-4 player and also plays the Florida Fantasy Five and PB.

He claims he knows he's going to win the Florida fantasy  Five JP and the PB JP.

How the heck is he going to beat 376,000 to 1 or 195 million to one when he can't beat 1000 to 1? He plays about 10 p-3 numbers, and 5 or so p-4 numbers everyday. The last time he won was $250.00 with a p-3 QP.

Like someone said earlier in this thread, and I've been also saying this forever.....99% of the people who play for the JP will never win in their entire lifetime.

So maybe you should reconsider what you wrote.

                      Jack-in-the-Box

WOO HOO, I almost talked myself out of playing.  Not really, I stoped looking at the odds a long time ago.

Lottery is a lot like a jack in the box, you never know when old jack will pop out but sometimes you can

I'd vote Pick 3. What is disappointing is many of the losses are by ONE number!!!

When I began playing the 3-ball, I felt like I ALWAYS missed by one digit!

For example: on July 11, 2006, I played "104" (my birthday = 1/04) straight/box for both day and night drawings. The day draw was 091 (missed $40 by the middle digit) and the night draw was 540 (missed $40 by the first digit).

On March 20, 2007, I played "104" straight/box. The day number was 400 - I MISSED WINNING $40 TWO WAYS IN THE SAME DRAWING! This also happened on May 2, 2006, when I played "104" and they drew "414."

The worst disappointment was when I predicted, based on day of the week/month of the year patterns that 104 would win on March 29, 2005. I forgot to play... AND 104 WON THAT NIGHT!

I also have sort of a rivalry going on with 103 because I was born in South Africa on 1/04 at 12:20 A.M. and came to America when I was almost 2. If I had been born in America, my birthday would have been 1/03. Last year, 103 came up in Michigan on New Year's - and 104 has, as far as I know, not come up on New Year's (although 1042 came up in Georgia on New Year 2004, and I dreamt that 104 won in New York on New Year's 2004). Then again, the situation might have been totally different if my family came to America before I was born.

Today's winning 3-ball is going to be a number between 000 and 999.

In a lot of states, lotteries benefit education. That makes the REAL winners the only people who can't play!
