'Change talk to me about "using Butch's number for July".
I went back looking for a post from Butch about numbers "for July" but I didn't see any that he posted that were specifically for July. I was gonna try that myself but I couldn't figure out where you got your numbers from. G5
I used the list from page 645 that he posted and took out all month of July numbers and have been playing them here is an example.

So there's not a July list I just extracted out the July numbers but apparently I missed this one because I didn't see it on my list but I will check them later to make sure ugh! it's worth 19.50 so I would still be - 4.50 for the week.

"Hi Honey! I'm home from my trip to Albany."
"That's good Dear. Where did you go in Albany?"
"Wolf Road" I said.
"Wolf Road????" I don't think there are any houses on Wolf Road! That's all commercial property!" she said.
"Remember I told you I was going to see some old friends? They live on Wolf Road"
"You went to see more than ONE person?" she said sounding very suspicious of me.
"Actually it was a pair of twins I went to see. Gee, they're big guys."
"Anyway, I thought the twins looked kinda hot. I thought those guys must have had a fever or sumthin' because they looked so hot to me. So I tried to touch them just to see how hot they really were."
"That's when a woman who knows the twins really well said to me "HEY!!! Don't you ever touch the twins no matter how hot you think they are! I'll smack you if you ever try to touch them again."
"But it was still a great time in spite of that mean and nasty woman. I even bought me a few Take5 tickets while I was there."

I have my eye on that 17.
It's skipped the last 22 draws... It a hot number this year. (no surprise there, it been hot for a couple of years)
It's a new month. It's not gonna keep skipping simply because most numbers have at least a few hits in a calendar month. It's rare for any number to skip an entire calendar month. The 17 will hit soon. G5

I realize that the 6 did not come out last night, but to show you how hot it's been this year take a look at this:
It's hit 38 times in the 185 Take5 drawings held so far. That's a 4.1% hit rate. (38/925 = 4.1 %) I divided 38 hits by 925, which is the total number of balls that have been drawn in 185 drawings.
1825 balls will be drawn in the 365 drawings that will be held this year. So if you multiply 1825 by 4.1% you get 74.825 (75) So if the 6 continues to hit at a 4.1% rate, it would finish 2015 with 75 hits.
Can it really do that??? I dunno. I tend to doubt it. If it's going to hit approximately 60 times this year, then it has to go through an extended cooling off period. (It's gotta slow down) Will it do that? Time will tell. G5

My posts like the one above are based upon the last five years worth of T5 data. (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 & 2014) That's because those are the years that I made spreadsheets for.
So when I talk about the "benchmark" of 60 hits per year for any number, there are many years of data that I have not looked at, which could influence the numbers I write about. Today I did some poking around in Advantage Plus, and took a look at a lot of other years prior to 2010.
First, I discovered that the NY Lottery increased the number of Take5 drawings to 364 days per year sometime in 2000. That's because 2001 is the first year where there were 364 drawings. (Xmas day there was no drawing, but I think these days they even draw numbers on Xmas.)
I saw that approximately 60 hits per year for the number with the most hits was typical for most years from 2001 to 2008. But not 2009 when the 10 had 67 hits. But if my memory serves me correctly, the NY Lottery was at one time drawing "Bonus Numbers" as a Take5 promotion, and that might have been why the 10 hit 67 times in 2009.
From 2001 to 2008 usually just one number made it to 60 or more hits. In some of those years, no number made it to 60 hits, but a few numbers fell just short of 60. (57, 58 or 59) In 2006, three numbers made it to 60, 61 & 62 hits. (Possibly that was another year when they drew "Bonus Numbers".) At any rate, I now feel very comfortable stating that any number that had or will have in the vicinity of 60 hits per year, had an absolutely smokin' hot year.
So how can we use this info to our advantage? Well, the 6 is currently a super nova with 38 hits in 2015. My thinking is it just can't sustain that 4.1% hit rate for the rest of 2015. So maybe it's time to eliminate the 6 from the numbers you play. Funny thing is though, there has not been one calendar month in 2015 where any number had zero hits, and the 6 is not going to skip the month of July, because it hit on July 1st. And... it will be the hit leader for 2015, so I wouldn't give up on it entirely, but it's gotta take a break sometime! G5
