Here is a nice looking keyed LP wheel for tonight.....

    Wheel:  Pick 5 Key 4 if 4 of 12

    Tickets:  47

Description: Minimum 4-number match, if 4 numbers drawn fall within your set of 12 numbers.

    Input:  39, 17, 6, 10, 15, 40, 31, 36, 50, 41, 38, 20

    Wheel:  Pick 5 Key 4 if 4 of 12

    Tickets:  47

Description: Minimum 4-number match, if 4 numbers drawn fall within your set of 12 numbers.

    Input:  39, 17, 6, 10, 15, 40, 31, 36, 50, 41, 38, 20

Its easy to see that I only hit 1 of 5 on my 4 if 4 of 12 wheel..... BUT I was choosing from a group of 28 that contained 4 of the winning numbers so my overall odds of getting 4 of 4 were 1 in 98,280.......................

Much BETTER ODDS than 1 in 3.8 million...... all day long..........

If anyone ever manages to get all 5 winning numbers in a set of 12,

the odds of picking the winners are 1 in 792.

The odds against having a five number match when 5 of your 12 numbers are drawn depends on how many of those 792 combos you play. If a player has confidence in their 12 numbers, playing any one of those combos will give them a 1 in 792 chance and their chances do get better by playing more of those combos. The odds against a 113 combo 4 it 4 wheel is 679 to 113 or 6 to 1 and those combos will produce at least 5 four number matches.

By playing just 5 of the 792 combos from the 12 number Mad dog MM Challenge picks, those player have 1 in 158 chance of having a five number match compared to the 1 in 780,000 chance 5 PS get if 5 of their 12 numbers are drawn. Several players have picked 5 of 28 numbers on this thread and they could have used each of the 28 numbers one time in just 6 combos. While the chances of 1 in 16,380 are still pretty high, it beats the 1 in 650,000 chance 6 QPs have.

          Thanks Stack,

Its quite clear that a little bit of intelligent thought goes a long way when it comes to getting better odds.

If a person eliminated only 1 or 2 numbers from any game pool their odds would be better.

Eliminating half the numbers from the MM pool improves odds by 40 times.......

I'm going to try eliminating 20 from the PB pool again tonight.

I'm interested in playing Cash Ball Stack, looks like a 4/33 game with a bonus number.  Do you want to start a pick 4 thread or just start throwing money at it???? I say throw money, but I give bad advice.....   What?

Cash Ball has a set jackpot of $200,000 and pays $2000 for matching four numbers. It also has a 50 cent a ticket option so it wouldn't require playing a huge amount of money, but since the game is drawn 6 nights a week, even at 50 cents a ticket it could be expensive. The same method for choosing the amount of numbers to play to get enough four number matches could be used, but we need a different betting strategy.

If I find anything that might be a worthwhile play, I'll post it on this thread.

Sounds good Stack, I will think about starting a pick 5 thread and work on some numbers.
