Going to buy 1 each of every ticket from the vending machine and see what happens. Curious to see what it pays.

Got them all except for two.Spent 125$ and got 147$. I'll try a different machine later. Have two cashword games i need to scan because they are a pain to play.

That's cool, RedStang!!!!!!  Very cool thing to try! Did you have one ticket that won the bulk of the $147, or how did it all work out? A bunch of smaller wins, etc...?

yeah thats really cool !!! I might try that again. have done it 3 times. once i got destroyed lost about on all of them. second time i lost maybe $50 and one other time i profited over $200 cause 3 of the tickets hit $100 including a $2 ticket. i think its the same as any other type of strategy. you could do really well or you could strike out.

        2014 Highest Winner: $500

Hit on 11 of them. Mostly 10$ with a few 20/25$ winners.

I took the "Vending Machine Challenge" for a typical CA Scratchers machine.

It wasn't as bad as I thought, was sure I'd get less than 50% back, but made back 80%, $53 on $66 spent.(our CA scratch games are puny compared to East coast) Playing just 1 ticket of a game is not usually a good idea, so I would normally never play this way. I also hardly ever play the smaller $1, $2, or $3 games, this is probably the first time this year. I especially avoid extended play games like crossword and bingo, etc. because they take too long.

Here's results for this 20-bin machine:

How many $20 tickets does CA have out? Sometimes our(PA) machines have 5 going at once.

We have zero $20 games here in CA. Highest we have are $10 games, only started last year, and there are only 2 of those!

The $5 games are mainly where it's at for us, there's about 8 of those in active circulation, woo hoo! Our lottery is so far behind the East coast...

Round 2 was a disaster. Spent 99$, got back 24. Going to try once more but at a store that sells alot of scratchers.

I got thinking about giving this a try before i stop but then I remembered what you mentioned earlier. My store just put a machine in and has all 5- $20 tickets in there along with the 10's/5's etc. I think I would be in the $200 range and I dont get a warm feeling about 1 per bin. i think it would be cool and fun, but I just have thoughts of losing on all of them.lol .. Maybe I will do it. See what my mood is tomorrow...

So I checked the machine. Would cost be $180. It is a 24 slot machine. Add that to the (2) 32 bin displays on the counter and the 8-12 in the counter and I have 100 tickets to do 1 each of. i think I would be broke or committed to an instituion if I tried it :)

lol omiller There is a place by me that has 2 machines and the stocked counter of

about everything else you could want in 1's 2's 3's 5's etc I could easily reach the

$700 one each challenge..that's nuts considering on a bad day every single one

could lose..worst case would be winning a free ticket lol

One day I walked into ticket Wonderland....even I didn't know where to start..

I easily could drop $1k there doing this. I never saw so many tickets in my life at one spot.

I'll try the challenge one day..bring them home and hope for a great one.

Never know...I think it's super neat seeing the variety posted in one picture then

                              seeing the results...great thread OP!
