Had a spur of the moment impulse to do the "Counter Challenge". I knew the one beer place has alot on the counter with no duplicates. 32 bins and turns out to be $210 total in tickets. 6 winners out of 30 with a Bingo and Crossword to scan tomorrow. Highlight was $50 on the "$" ticket. That ticket could have easily lost and I would be sitting even worse. I know I keep saying I am done and I really have to be at this rate. Too many losers.

Yes. If i'm going that way i try and play different States. For the ticket above, was heading to NC, so i had Virginia lotto send a list of retailers and stopped at the closest one off I-95 which was a Foodlion grocery. Also hit another store called Giants.

Worked out good. The $2 tics seem to pay pretty good. Got $40 (winall) off one in NC.

Yeah, that little $2 ticket saved the day. They do that sometimes, although I rarely play them. But we have a new series coming out soon that will have a pretty decent $2 game, so I will give it a good shake.

Funny how I do better on average with the vending machine challenge than I do on regular scratch ticket play. Why don't I do it more than a few times? Strange how it flies in the face of reason that buying blind and only 1 ticket each from a machine is a winning strategy, just can't trust it. It has been good so far, but the moment you switch over to it though, it will go downhill fast...

Round 18,19 & 20. Massachusetts.

Round 18-spent $120 got back 77.

Round 19-spent $80 got back 58.

Round 20-spent $60 got back 12. Machine was half empty. Try for NJ next.

Hi RedStang, how long did it take you to get the check? Did they print the check right away and handed it to you or did you have to wait for the check by mail?

Took about 7 days. They would have printed the check right away, but they could'nt scratch the code and sent it to their main office. Could'nt cash it out of state so i was in no hurry.

This was the 2nd of two machines in a store I hit before with VMC on the other machine. I didn't want to repeat machines yet, so I opted to play the one with many old/junk games in it that I wouldn't normally play, and it shows.

Half back is not bad. Playing this way you would think you would'nt hit on any. Waiting for my taxes so i can do 4 states. I can be in 3 states within 4 miles.

I tried this vending machine challenge in MA today. Spent 168 and got $71 back..I hit 2 $20s and a few tens.

Tried the VMC on a 20 bin machine in an crummy old liquor store. Had 1 $10 bin empty and did not have the latest games in it, those were at the counter. Got about average results, spent $60 got back $38, about 63% return.
