Some are called neighborhoods stores and some are called super stores.... Supply and demand my friend.

Supply and demand. If a small jackpot was in supply each draw, the demand would be off the charts....

I'm very interested in this "Super Store" Hyper

Will this Super Store be offering PB tickets to their loyal patrons.  What?

No, gambling is something they choose NOT to participte in. You will need to get your 1 in 5 million odds at some other location...

People are 10 times more interested in having a chance at the jackpot then how big it is.

If that was true, the state games would have more players.  For example Ohio has Rolling Cash5(5/39) at $1/ticket with jackpots of $100k-$500K and Classic Lotto(6/49) at $1/ticket with a jackpot  of $20.3M/$10.1M cash and PowerBall is still the big draw this week.

People are more interested in having a chance at a  big jackpot then they are a smaller jackpot and will spend the extra dollar.

       * you don't need to buy more tickets, just buy a winning ticket *

Perhaps a busy liquor store would offer such a commodity. Roll Eyes

Its been 8 draws since the jackpot was $200 million. If they had given away $5 million each draw to a lucky "losing" ticket the jackpot would still be at $60 million (or more because of increased sales)

If PB officials reacted to a boycott from players and dropped it back to $1, how would this effect your playing routine?

(And kept the current prize structure).

Would you be buying twice the number of tickets now?

Would you be playing at lower jackpots than before?

Would you still not continue to play out of anger of the $1 increase?

Would you rather just go to bed now?

I really don't think it matters I buy a ticket for every draw...... regardless of the price....Always have

If a losing ticket was worth a chance at $5 million would you buy one or two more???

I have bought a few PB tickets even after I quit the game, but I hate buying them.

If I had a second chance to win, it would be worth a second dollar.

Its like buying a Prius and getting half the car for twice the money.

Why have a free raffle for a $5M dollar prize when they could easily sell the chance for a $1?  No body ever made money by giving it away.
