Just updated, quake was felt as far away as three other states, lasted about 15 seconds.

No reported deaths or serious injury at this point.

As long as no power outage, lottery players should be able to carry on this evening. Cheers

I live in the southern part of Ohio, (Hocking Hills area), and I felt all of the tremer. My whole house shook for several seconds. I looked at the clock and it was 12:10 P.M. First time I can recall getting shook by an earthquake!!

We had a small earthquake here a few weeks ago, floors and walls were shaking.

I thought it was my next door neighbors running up and down the stairs.  LOL

Some people don't even know it's an earthquake they are experiencing, if it's a small magnitude.

Gee mcginnin56, I read the subject line and for a second thought that somehow only the lottery players in KY had an earthquake.

Hope everyone is safe and not much damage.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

My mistake, didn't realize the tremors had extended to three other states!

Interestingly when first listening to CNN it was reported as a  5.5 magnitude, but 30 minutes later  it was corrected to a 4.3.

Sounds like minimal damage at this point.

I am sure they will have a few little aftershocks (already had a 2.5 one).  My relatives in SE kentucky felt it.  I said imagine something that was nearly 6.0 which hit the  northern VA/DC area over a year ago.  I have friends in Michigan who felt that earlier one. It was like a freight train and the whole building was shaking back and forth.  I will take hurricanes and tornados to earthquakes any day.

McGinnin:  They always report it higher then adjust it based on multiple monitoring sources.  Same thing happened with the Northern VA one.
