The $10 2,000,000 Jackpot game (with 1 outstanding jackpot remaining) has 43 active books, 16 books in transmission, and 166 books listed as "received" across the state.

Of course, according to the Instant Liability Report, there should be over 3,000 books remaining based on the number of unclaimed prizes. I have the information for this game for the entire state, and I'd be happy to pass it along. That's quite a bit of a disparity, although isn't there normally a 2-3% number of prizes that inevitably end up being unclaimed on most games? If so, then that explains the gap a tad bit.

I'm on lotto hiatus, and haven't played in 3 days and I don't plan on playing anytime soon. The reason I requested this data was because I was genuinely interested in knowing how scarce this game was, and wanted to pass it along to you all in hopes that it might help someone here hit it big. If there were a game I'd play right now, I'd recommend this one because if the final jackpot is still out there the probability of hitting it is substantially higher. I'd recommend the 265k-275k range (I think I remember seeing it go up to 275k, perhaps the end of print might even be 277k). There's of course also $10k, $5k, and many $1k prizes still out there that could help "cushion" the search.

To put those numbers in perspective again...

There's a maximum of 13,500 $2,000,000 Jackpot tickets remaining assuming there's 60 tickets left in each active book, which we know isn't the case since those books are open.

Assuming the last jackpot is out there, the odds would be 1 in 13,500 of hitting it. Not bad if you ask me, but quite a gamble. Still, if the $10k, $5k, and $1k prizes out there would also serve as an incentive buying that ticket. As of August 30th, there were 9 $10,000 prizes, 14 $5,000 prizes, and 221 $1,000 prizes outstanding. The total number of "unclaimed prizes" out there was an astonishing 18,3770, however. Whether the final jackpot out there is questionable, but I still think the "odds" if it were along with other big prizes being out there justifies this as  a ticket to at least buy as a one and done if you can find it.

Dangit Dracos, I really don't want to go roll buying, but the Marathon Station in Dunnellon has a roll of this 270K on ticket in the teens. Problem is the one ticket I bought won $25 and I'm worried that would be the top prize left on that roll with the rest duds or 5s and 10s.

Somebody needs to buy the rest of this roll before me, please I don't want to lose $300

        Hahaha.

I hear you. I'm retired from scratchoffs, otherwise I would go get them. The temptation is real, but I've set a goal to refrain from tickets.

Something I've learned is that trends/patterns are unpredictable. Remember, I found $100k on that Super Millions roll on ticket #12 and then ticket #17 was also a $1000 winner. The roll would have returned $340 aside from those $1k win and the monster win. Adam found his $2m Holiday jackpot on ticket #59, and he bought 5 tickets with 4/5 being duds and the final ticket being a jackpot.

If the final jackpot is out there on that game, it can truly be anywhere. Even a roll that has been "hot", can continue to have big winners. I've seen a $20 Monopoly Book with a $1,000, $500, and $200 winner within the first five tickets. This goes to show the true random nature of how these big winners are distributed, with the possibility of multiple big winners in one role not being unheard of or impossible. Oldghost would be proud of me for admitting that there is no pattern. =p

Edit: Also, if you buy the rest of the roll you're not going to lose $300. I'd say worst case scenario you would lose $100-$200.

Picked up 2 books of  2 million jackpot today in North Ft Myers at a Publix. They had them in the back....

                    Book 1 -  390 return

Book 2 - 230 return - worst return I have ever gotten on a book.

                    Side note

I have now purchased approximately 25 full/new books and only ONCE has a book paid out more than the $600 price tag.

This doesnt count my big wins as those were all hit when buying in smaller amounts.

1 out of 25 is awful. I think I am finished buying entire books.

Is that counting when you cleaned out AK of their $10 HG books in the lower range? Seeing as how they've not had any grand prize winners, it feels like they're just a clearing house for games that have aged. (Of course since I wrote this, they will tomorrow have a grand prize winner).

That does include those books. Actually the 1 book that DID have a profit was a HG book from AK Kwik that I got on that trip. It had 4x$200 winners and ended up paying out $1,030

Ahh. Wasn't sure if you remembered that set, which is why I was curious.

Any news on the KR win?

Dad is holding out until his taxes are done. He has some minor IRS issues to work out and doesnt want to throw that income into the mix until its handled.

The first book was an above average return, but that second book sucks. The good thing is that you can write off these losing tickets on your taxes, so there's definitely that incentive.  Also, I'm amazed that a single $10 Holiday Gifts book had FOUR $200 winners. That's one hot book!

That cuts down the number of 2,000,000 jackpot books down to 164!

What were the book numbers, by the way on the 2MJ?
