        Hi Steve,

I was trying to modify the RickGPick4Wheel file to give me an additional set of numbers with a different output than what's currently generated.  It gave me a pain the back of my head and neck ...

This is what I'd like to achieve:

Using the lettering that's in place for the digits going hot to cold:

        A-B-C-D

        A-B-D-E

        H-B-C-D

        I-B-C-D

        J-B-C-D

        H-A-I-B

        G-G-C-J

        C-I-B-J

        C-D-J-E

        I-A-J-J

        F-G-H-I

        G-H-I-J

When I tried to copy/paste the cells with the corresponding letters (thinking the addresses were absolute) it changed the output letter to a different one.  I was using the blank space on the same "DrawHistory" sheet a couple of rows under the set of generated numbers.  Can you help me set this up?

Here is your custom Pick 4 Excel file:

          https://app.box.com/s/0m89w7yds1z9scnf4vbg

You can actually change the lettering A through J in the Tab labeled "DrawHistory"

Go to cell range AE6 through AE17 and change the lettering to your own custom sets.

I did have to add 2 more sets to your Excel file which is in the download link posted above.

Let me know if you need any help.

I'm using Windows 7, Excel 2010 and Mozilla Firefox.

The only thing I noticed is that even though I updated my files this morning, the number count was different in my original RickG4Wheel file than the one I just downloaded when I selected my state (NY).

Actually what I did with those sets I asked you to put together was just a HOT/COLD mix.  I wasn't looking for the straights with that mix, because that would require fine tuning it by position possibly based on skips, hits, ect., and I was afraid of messing up the file.  But so far I've found getting the base digits in NY usually is just a matter of mixing up all hot, 2 hot/2 cold, etc. and this will give box hits.

The section where the numbers are sorted and the total adds up to 40.

Here is a link to all the Blackapple Excel files:

If you already downloaded the P3StateDraws exce file it is not necessary to download again.  Just download the blackapple Excel file and place in the folder where the P3StateDraws.xls or P3StateDraws.xlsm currently resides.  You can use the P3StateDraws (.xls or .xlsm) for the blackapple, RickG Pick 3.

                            https://app.box.com/s/2tdoyhvj4uf5ldnrrz3l

Select only the Excel files for the Excel version you are using.
