I played 15 lines and won a dollar back.  I matched two on two lines but neither was the line with the winning megaball.

So why not eliminate some of those (last two MBs)... at least the last one drawn?  I would assume it'd give you a better "chance" at catching those two with the MB.  That extra dollar or two could win you that staggering 5.00 next time!

My MBs

(2 12) (3 13) (7 17) (8 18)

There is no reason to think the same megaball won't repeat the next drawing or skip a drawing before repeating since it has happened twice with the 5/75 +1/15 format since it started 39 drawings ago.

Interesting indeed... twice out of 39.  What happened all the other times? Funny how powerful 1.00 is in the lottery.

Good "luck".  If not myself, I'd love to know someone on LP cashed in.

I thought you were drinking again, when I first saw the title to your thread, but your logic, seems to still be functioning.

I am only playing one line tonite.  Hard times you know?

I think the 28 looks very strong as a power number.

I think 3 is pretty strong as a Mega ball number.

Good luck to ohioans in this draw, but we all know New York is gonna win it.

I actually thought to do a big wheel, and have members on LP choose their lines.

Kind of like a pool, but not like a pool.

It would be nice if the winner shares though.

        Holding the 28 as powernumber.

Mixing up the MB with 2 and 4

The last two times the 10 was drawn as MB, it announced the 2 and the 4 respectively.

        Good Luck!

With only 39 drawings under the new 5/75+1/15 format, it's too early for me to start looking which number follows which.  I have done that with Ohio's Classic Lotto to get a sense of the direction and range of the next numbers but it has a history of 1115 drawings.  Good luck to you too.

I'm pleased with those results.  To get a similar result playing the local Classic Lotto(6/49) with a jackpot of $62.6M/$31.3 cash  I would have had to play all forty-nine numbers in a 163 lines wheel.  I'll probably try the samething next Tuesday.

Playing MM twice, you spent $30 and got back $3. So 3/30 = 10%

Playing Ohio Classic twice, you would've spent $38 and got back at least $4, using that 19-ticket wheel BobP posted awhile back. So 4/38 ≈ 10.5%

MM has more prizes though, so it's a wash. If I was shooting for jackpot I would play Classic, if shooting for lower prizes I would play MM.

If the chances of winning the jackpot are so slim, why play when the jackpot is so small? Your chances never change, but the potential payoff does.
If a crystal ball showed you the future of the rest of your life, and in that future you will never win a jackpot, would you still play?

You must know something that I don't because I've never seen a 19 lines wheel that guarantees a 3of6 match in a 6/49 game regardless of the winning combination which pays $2 in Ohio.

Every lottery game I play I'm hoping to win the jackpot however when I play OCL I usually win nothing.

No, it's the other way around, you knew something my eyes couldn't see on the page. Big Grin

I got mixed up and mistook Classic's $2 prize for a 2/6 (my lotto pays $2 for 2/6). Conehead

Even if it was right, half a percent difference wouldn't be enough to squawk about.

If 2/6 paid $2, it would make a huge difference since the odds of matching 2 is 1:8.  Where is this game that pays $2 for a 2/6 match?

If he lives in Texas the Lotto game has the "extra" feature whereby a player can spend an extra dollar per tic and if there are 2 correct numbers on one line it pays $2.

CAN'T WIN IF YOU'RE NOT IN

                        A DOLLAR AND A DREAM (OR $2)

I checked Lotto Texas and it's a little harder to win being a 6/54 game instead of a 6/48 game.   If I couldn't play it any better than I've play our 6/49 game I wouldn't see any advatage to spending the extra dollar.
