While I don't know of anyone who quit their job to play lotteries full time I do know of a few retired people who study and play lotteries as a serious hobby with the amount of time and money others invest in RVing, traveling, hunting, camping, fishing, drinking and socializing.  That's probably why a fair number of lottery winners are older and retired.

        I Agree!

I'm not there yet... But I want to be. It would have to be the Pick 4. Can you get 2 single box hits, or 1 double box hit a

week, for $5 each?  Sounds easy doesn't it?

"You can observe a lot just by watching." Yogi Berra, Hall of Fame baseball player.

The numbers will tell you what numbers to play. Pay attention to the numbers.

Don't just think outside the box, crush it.

"I've read where a few people say they quit their dayjob and now solely ____________, it must be nice"

You can fill in the blank with a number of things, even outside the lottery. This is commonly "heard/read/rumored" and is usually complete bunk. What comes to my mind are the late-night infomercials with the man and beautiful women riding in a convertible, telling you how great his life is.

The keyword here is "few," and even the few who do are usually lying about how much they actually depend on it for income. They perhaps quit their dayjob and play the lottery, but are the two actually correlated? Maybe they retired, inherited money, live off welfare, whatnot and prefer the fantasy of quitting their job solely to play the lottery. After all, it makes for a more glamorous story and probably helps sell their 'systems' too Wink For all you know, they could be sacking groceries by day and eating frozen TV dinners by night from the confines of their subsidized housing complex!

If the chances of winning the jackpot are so slim, why play when the jackpot is so small? Your chances never change, but the potential payoff does.
If a crystal ball showed you the future of the rest of your life, and in that future you will never win a jackpot, would you still play?

Be quite stressfull tbh, not a fixed income each week etc

I'm happy just having it as hobby.

It is , Red wine is great for your heart, a glass or 2 or 3, not 2 gallons all at once, unless you have a  cheese and fruit platter to go with it.

I am working on making it my only job.  I have been regularly hitting the P3 straight several times a week and have hit the P4 straight 4x over the last 3 weeks.

Did you know you can increase your odds on scratch off games, by checking your state lottery to see the numer of top prizes remaining.
