If you can control yourself, the lottery is a good deal. Everything is so expensive these days, spending $100 a year to win millions is nothing.

PLAYING THE LOTTERY IS NOT CHEAP.

            $100 PER YEAR X 50 YEARS=$5,000.

Keep adding $100 per year to those -$5,000 in the hole. Yes, you have already played the lottery for 50 years.

            Thrifty,

I gave up cigs almost 30 years ago, they cost  $1.50 a pack at that time,

now they're about 5 times that.

I think I saved enough to play lottery.

I recall thinking at the time that I could buy lotto and still have change left.

Lottery tix don't stink up my breath, clothes, car or house, that's a win right there.

That's just a little over $25 a day, lots of lottery players spend that on tickets but not every day.  Some of the LP predictors have shown you can break even or slightly worst by predicting $25 worth of numbers every day with a winning strategy.

There's nothing wrong with dropping $800 a month on lottery tickets as long as you're not losing $800 a month on lottery tickets.

If you only play one or two sets of numbers and stick to the same set, you might win eventually. But who actually plays the same numbers?

Interesting listening to you guys post.  My theory is to put $ 40.00, on one number once a month and I'm getting

Pretty darn close, just a matter of time.  Can be done with a double number.

0ver 2014 i  recorded my winning and spending on lotto for the whole year. after the year the average return was %32. some months %50, some %9.

not exactly the %66 as advertised, but this year i hope for  better return.

For those who only want the thrill of playing and none of the cost there is the prediction board.  Ten plays for every game every drawing and bragging rights all free.

When you have a strong desire to win, don't play.

Playing the number games requires a different strategy than one for playing the jackpot games, you're chasing $20K while others are chasing a $10M+ jackpot.
