I always hope to win too.

When a jackpot starts getting pumped up I hope that if I do win it's not a solo win, and if it's not me,  somebody hits it before all the insanity kicks in.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

As a practical matter it's statistically impossible for a lottery jackpot to ever be too much money. I can't understand why somebody would want to win a starting jackpot instead of winning a much bigger jackpot a few weeks later.

I would like to win a higher prize, of course, but I would never say "gee, I hope I don't win this $15 million jackpot".

I'll take whatever I can get. I play for the 5 white balls so a smaller jackpot would be fine with me.

Hoping that you and others do NOT win..yet, especialy if it is at the start up stage, because deep down you want the jackpots to roll? When it does reach a " sensible" amount then and Only then do you see yourself being handed the " cardboard check"..right? Smile

Does that make sense, the hoping not to win part, or is it " win it all now, regardless of the amount?

n-g, what would you consider a "sensible" amount that you would not mind winning?   Why do you play before the jackpot reaches that amount?

I forget who originally posted this idea but wining a start point jackpot right after someone has won a huge jackpot and hasn't claimed it yet would sure take the attention off of you and your 'measly' $15 or $40 million.

I play every draw regardless of jackpot size. Why? Because it doesn't matter what the jackpot is, I get to retire! No more rat race. No more dreading going to work. No more debt. No more mortgage.
