Happy 4th of July Everyone!

In every country I can think of, the freedoms, sovereignty and wealth of the Nation, which was once the embodiment of the power and will of the people,  is being butchered and sold to the highest bidder. Everywhere, the Nation and the people within it, are under attack. Not from without by terrorists but from within. Because in every country the people who run the State have largely decided they no longer wish to serve the people but prefer instead to serve the interests of a Global Over-Class.

Of course we are not encouraged to see this clearly or if we do, certainly not to speak of it to others. And many of those we might try to talk to, do not want to hear.

Many of us prefer instead to find what warmth we can in the false and threadbare beliefs fed to us by the quisling elite of the State and their close friends and allies in a rigged and corrupted 'free' market. Together they tell us that whole functions of our nation which we built and treasure, are no longer viable because they are at odds with the 'realities' of a global economy. The more ideological of them proclaim that the state, whenever and wherever it tries to do good, will always and by necessity do harm. The more 'realist' among them tell us that once inalienable liberties, must now be curtailed or suspended in the name of defending the 'nation' from outside enemies. And yet I want to argue it is now, not ever us or the nation that is being defended or empowered.  It is always and everywhere a small elite who own and control both the State and the Markets who are being defended.

Ohhhhhhh  probably do a few yard chores, put my flags out in the ground along the driveway,play with the dog & fill up his new pool so he can get soaking wet and terrorize the wife's flower garden, cut up the watermelon & cook some burgers on the grill later. Go see the movie TED 2, take the Mrs and the dog to DQ(dog loves a taste of vanilla ice cream). OH YEAH, almost forgot, gotta buy some lotto tix for tonight's drawing!!!!

Didnt have time this morning to post...had to be at work by 8am. Grrrr.

Worked until 6 today selling furniture. Actually the traffic was rather dead today, and I admit I'm not unhappy about it. Had an ok day. But I have gotten to where I'm tired of the retail business using holidays to drum business. What happens the rest of the year? Starvation. LOL.

Anyway, just had a bottle of Shiner Bock. Reading posts on LP. Gonna watch the Rangers play in a little bit, hope they play better than last night.

While I'm doing that, I'm also thinking about how in the world our country got to where it is today (which I do a lot), and is there any hope for the USA.

God bless the USA. Please.....

I hear ya on working retail have done it off & on over my career.  Best area to work is something in the financial area, had Friday & Saturday off   

Won some money on Hot Lotto last night so was a good 4th!! 

To be honest,  still love this country,  but it sure didn't feel like the fourth of July.   Too many ambiguous threats,  Constitution becoming meaningless,  leftists running the show,  losing respect around the world,  so many people struggling to make ends meet...............get my drift?????

Our Independence Day!

We went to the dogs on Saturday night!

Here in Sydney Australia, Wentworth Park Greyhound Racetrack is in the city. It's a fun Saturday night and the beers are cheap by Sydney standards. If you are in Sydney any weekend, check out the "dishlickers" as the locals call them.

As you may know, Texas was not part of the US at independence, it was later stolen from Mexico. But that is fine, they are now reclaiming it demographically.
