... if you as a player have been losing for say..30 years, what would be the point in " trying" to win again once you have bagged the big one RJ?

...if I enjoyed playing when I was losing what make you think playing wouldn't be as enjoyable after winning a jackpot? Wink  It's entertaining.

Hmmm- Kinda like the biggest Loser commercial huh RJ- " You win by losing." Point Taken nonetheless. The Beatles had a song called" l'm a loser"..l think!

Sounds likes you think anyone who plays the lotteries and never won a jackpot is a loser, which includes almost every one who ever brought a lottery ticket.  Winning a jackpot once in a life time is unlikely let alone twice for most players.

No-:There is a difference RJ between losers & being a loser..l count myself along with millions of other players who play but as of yet have not won the jp as such..We losing- ergo: losers...w/ regard to the lottery. As l said, there is a difference.

That depends on how big the jackpot is. If it's under 5 million, then I'd probably keep playing just for the heck of it. Over 20 million after taxes and I'd quit to travel the world/start my own blog again. With quite a few million in the bank, I'd be too busy trying to find ways to spend my money than worrying about buying more lotto tickets.

I enjoy the lottery so i think i would still play when JP's reach record highs. I think that would be the only time i would play though...i would be too busy investing and multiplying my current winnings. I have no problem hitting a JP a second time..the more i win the more good i could do for others less fortunate.

Yes. Because I would be way too busy enjoying my life to run down to the 7/11.  Jester

You're on a "lucky" roll so why not keep playing?  I probably wouldn't play as much but I would still play an occasional draw/scratcher.

I probably wouldn't play jackpots but I might buy scratchers and give the winners to my mom.

Or would you play ever so now and then just for the fun or it to keep yourself " busy" despite having enough walking around money? Or would you completely turn your back on the game with the thinking " I got mine, let someone else get theirs!"

No, I wouldn't quit playing. I might play less of the game I won in. I think would found a second game to try. Which ever game that perks my interest the most, that what I'll play next.

I was so ready to quit playing forever until l noticed that l did not have the winning numbers in the recent PB drawing. Someone once said " keep hope alive"- well my hopes & dreams are alive, they remain strong and are not on crutches.

I doubt I would stop playing.  Maybe stop the big jackpots but not the scratchers for sure.
