What are the traits, characteristics and patterns that you consider important in analyzing the lottery matrix? garyo, besides considering, number prediction, by a system of filters without conflict (venn graph) we still have to consider the opsto or blocks of empty sequences to exclude numbers, then we have two conditions, one to predict by crossing of filter without conflict
and another to exclude empty blocks from the lottery matrix
on the carteziano plane

Why don't we just wait for Mr,'s ednessaknight and grwurston to post their solution? Seems hardly fair to do any real work when they already know how to beat the lottery using Benford's Law.

It's just a real kicker to spend most of the afternoon writing and now running a very slow program that is only at 4 13 25 XX XX. Real downer to find out all you need to win is Benford's Law.

Wow! Benford's Law.......show of hands......how many of you already knew that?

If anyone's taking the mention of Benford's Law seriously, don't. It doesn't apply here. Lottery numbers are picked from a small, well-defined set of discrete values; Benford's Law requires arbitrary values spanning several orders of magnitude.

I'm starting to think so0me things that have been posed in this thread and others are the lottery equivalent of a Flat Earth Society.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any. So many systems, so many theories, so few jackpot winners.

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

Wow, I never knew there was a law for something I've been doing all this time.

As for the Pick 3, 85 (70.8%) of the 120 box singles have 0-1-2 as the lowest number. Add the 3 into the mix it goes up to 100 of 120. 83.3%. Add in the 4 it jumps to 91.6% 110 of 120. But now you're looking at way too many numbers to play to make a decent profit.

As far as patterns in the lottery, they are definitely there. BUT, they are always easy to see after the fact, Ie in back testing. The trick is to pick up on the pattern at the beginning so you can use it to your advantage before it ends.

Here is a recent example, 6-2-6-6-2-8-8-2-6-6-4. First question, what is this? It's the actual root sums using combined draws from a month ago. What's the pattern? The root sum after the 2 repeats itself. Another is, the 2 repeats every 3rd draw. Easy to see now, but what about as it's progressing? How many players would have switched to odd root sums some where in the middle, thinking that even root sums would not possibly hit 11 draws in a row? Most I would say. Me included.

One more example. 5-1-1-1-1-9-9-8-2-1-9-1-1-1-1-3. Same scenario from last Nov. How many players would have played root sum 1 that many times in a row? Especially after the first four times. How many would have switched to evens after the 8-2? Raise your hands.

Whether these two examples are completely random or not is for another discussion. But.

The most important lesson to be learned from this is, Do not try to out think the lottery. The lottery does not deal with logic or common sense. Sometimes no matter how crazy or ridiculous, or logic defying something may seem, you just have to play it. Good Luck!!!

Before you play there are 2 choices to make. Low sum or high sum and consecutive pair or no consecutive pair. Choose correctly and you go from 120 combos down to 30. Not a bad starting point.

The things that scares me more is the prediction system, with filters to exclusion of opsto blocks with curves, charts, venn diagrams and Cartesian coordinates but not one single idea on the data to be graphed, charted, or diagrammed.

I believe that's the only way to win in any lottery fairly consistently - catch a pattern as early as possible and try your luck with it. No guarantee but that's the best we can do.

Also depends on patterns you target. How long can they last? I work with groups of numbers: 8 out of 10 for Pick 3, 14-16 out of 49 for 6/49. This necessitates wheeling so it's not cheap. Also cannot rely on one prediction method all the time, have to keep an eye on several at the same time to see which one starts creating a pattern I would like to try.

When wheeling 8 out of 10 the rate of winning can frequently reach 4 in 6, 5 in 7, 6 in 9 BUT this includes both singles & doubles so you have to play either or but not both (due to cost). But with such extended winning streaks even if you miss the streak's beginning there is still room for winning. No streak lasted more than 7 times and generally trying beyond 5 is truly pushing your luck with rather poor outlook for success. Moreover, frequently not only one but several predictors created winning streaks at the same time so even if I did not pick the best one I still had a chance to win.

I use simple predictors: hot, cold, overdue etc., generally nothing fancy. And backtracks are absolutely necessary to visualize starting patterns.

These observations are based on 49 week simulation for Wisconsin Pick 3 for 2016 - 2017.

As to pattern repetitions I found it nearly impossible to time patterns reliably. Most of the time each week some different predictor was winning so I had to monitor continuously what's going on.

To sum up: I believe you need to know how long wining streaks your predictors are capable of generating. If too short it may be difficult to catch them.

hidden patterns, it is up to us to discover at least 75% to 80% memos. pareto law can be used
we have last digit, frequencies. cycles, etc., to synchronize but for various raffles
and not just for an event, the previous results can be halfway through.

Wasn't a bad dream. But the person who needed the information got what they needed when I laid out the plan to write a program. They know the data they want to use. They have already started their program. On the other hand....

ok, yes, you need references, fixed points, that is, patterns that are drawn most of the time
not to ride in circles, each lottery must have these point it is up to us to find and apply in the day to day.

Now you're talking a different thing altogether.

First, it was patterns within the matrix that could be tracked and used.

Now it's flow patterns you see in the drawings.

You're playing the lottery like taking a walk in the woods looking at all the pretty bugs that sting and bite.
You come out with a rattlesnake wrapped around your leg, carrying a skunk.

Next day you wake up wondering how you got ate up with bug bites, why you stink, and where the rattlesnake in your boot came from?

Same as playing the lottery.

We can sit here and talk numbers, dream, and write programs that pop up great looking numbers........until after the drawing when we realize we got bit!!!!

If you go geocaching you can do the Hansel and Gretel thing and carry a bag of bread crumbs. Won't help you find where you're going and likely they get eaten before you start back. So you use a GPS that shows the direction you're heading, the longitude, latitude, and gets you within 6-12 feet of your target. At that distance you can get lucky and trip over it.

Or go without a GPS and wander around aimlessly. Maybe you get lucky.

Ahhh! TNTea my all time favorite poster!

Mirrors and Vtraks. Love them for Pick 3 and adapted them to Texas Two Step by stripping off the back numbers and using those. Like....

Strip off the red numbers 00112 and use the mirror and Vtrak method on the blue 29586. For each position you have five columns like V105, V116, V127, V138, V149, and V205, V216, V127, V238, V249, and V3, v4, etc, the same way.

Works great for 9 ball games. But I wouldn't try to make mirrors using 49 balls. Even if you cut them in half and say the mirrors are 1/25, 2/26, 3/27, 4/28,........you'll end up with 25 columns per position which comes to 150 columns for a 6/49 game. You'd need an EMERGENCY ALERT signal written into the program to keep track of what is missing!

Haven't given it much thought if I will use Vtraks for Cash 5, but if I do I'll use the same strip the back and track method. Should work for a 6/49 just as well.

The advantage is pretty simple. In all the Cash5/35 games I've looked at, (Texas, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and South Dakota are the only 5/35s I know of), those front digits/red numbers are made up of only 3 different digits about 59% of the time. (Not so surprising once you go through the entire matrix you find 191,705 of the 324,632 combinations have only 3 different digits in the front/red positions. That's 59.05%. Even better when you consider 79.74% of the front digit sets contain at least one zero (0)!)

So if you see, say 1 is due in the third position (where the blue 5 is) you can eliminate playing it with a zero or 3. That leaves only two possible outcomes.......11 or 21. Yes, you could have 31 in the third position in a 5/35, it does happen in .08% of the entire matrix, but the odds are flatter than 20 lb bond paper!

Yeah, yeah, yeah....too involved, you don't have the charts, and its not making sense. I understand. It is hard to visualize a lot of the messy statistics without seeing real numbers. My bad.

example = 2,9,5,8,6 increasing = 2,5,6,8,9
then we have positional in blue and crescent
garyo, ask given a given string example
1,9,5,3,8 = increasing = 1,3,5,8,9
if der = 1,9,5,3,8 = how many positional formations are possible?
then putting on growing reduces but then has unfold
