Did a little searching around early this morning on Gail Howard ... found some interesting information.
There is a web site which may have been her personal website set up by her dealing with her early life, hard to say but it looks personal or at least she may have been involved in setting it up. Lots of photos at the site. She traveled the world for 12 years. She was quite an attractive woman in her 20's an 30's.
It mentions that she died of 'natural causes':
"After an amazing life of 80 years, Gail Howard passed away from natural causes on October 19, 2015."
She wrote a two-volume memoir detailing with her travels during the fifties and sixties called 'Born for Adventure'. She seems to have led an interesting early life and a whole life in general.
From the website:
"Gail Howard visited 130 countries during her twelve years of world travel. Each country offered Gail a unique experience. All her life, Gail Howard was an 'experience junkie', born with an insatiable desire to see, feel, taste, hear, smell and try everything the world had to offer. Her interests were limitless during her adventures. Her memoir, Born for Adventure, details these experiences.
After her 12-year sojourn around the world, Gail Howard returned to the USA, became a stockbroker, married for eight years and divorced (no children).
In 1982, Gail Howard used her Wall Street skills to experiment with technical analysis on lottery numbers and made a breakthrough discovery for selecting winning lotto numbers."
... another part of her story, funding her traveling ... mentioned "occasionally smuggled jewels, art objects and antiquities".
"Gail funded her travels as a performer but, always the entrepreneur, she bought and sold (and occasionally smuggled) jewels, art objects and antiquities. She even sold refrigeration in Vietnam. She stayed everywhere from first-class hotels to no-class hotels, ate food that ranged from exquisite to, well, 'adventurous' and spent time with millionaires, princes, poets, peasants, bullfighters, Egyptologists, moguls, artists and healers."
... it mentions at the website that she married once and divorced with no children ... but she she seems to have had a life of adventure and romance. It says she usually traveled alone, so maybe marriage wasn't for her.
"Usually she traveled alone, although she was joined at various points by her sister, Terry, and her on-again, off-again boyfriend (and fellow adventurer) Steve. Born for Adventure is about one woman’s strength and resourcefulness in realizing her dreams."
... her memoirs are for sale at Amazon and someone had bought and posted this review and note to her in September 2015 ... a month before her death. Wonder if she saw it.

I use 'DuckDuckGo" and there are many photos there ... 52 photos are listed, haven't seen them all yet.
Wish I had known more about her before she passed away ... maybe like 20 or 30 years ago.
