There's a supermarket near my office I buy some of my tickets from and the employee who usually sells them to me has told me more than one the regular customers has told her they won't be playing the new MegaMillions. It will be interesting to see what happens to sales starting on Saturday.

I will play, but not as often as I play now. I will probably only play when the jackpot gets very high, like $500million or maybe $250million. My regular rule for playing Powerball and Megamillions is 1 ticket for every $100million of cash jackpot. It's a rule I use so I don't go overboard buying tickets.

I did break that rule this week and buy 5 lines for Friday's MegaMillions. It's my way of giving a nice send off to the old game and who knows, maybe I'll be the first MegaMillions jackpot winner in Louisiana.

We'll just have to wait and see.

I buy a ticket for the lotto max in Canada! It cost's $5.00. As well- if a person add's twist and tag- Then it cost's $7.00

I am disappointed to see the "just the jackpot" feature is being retired. It was the ideal option for syndicate play.

They may be estimating a slow start to the new game. The estimated jackpot for the April 8 draw only went up $11 million. The previous rise in the jackpot was $14 million. Granted, sales for the Tuesday draws tend to be lower, this is a surprisingly low increase in the jackpot.

The estimate is based on the jackpot not being won today. If the jackpot is won, then the estimated jackpot for the April 8 draw is $50 million.

Bought my tickets for pb and mm for the week. Skipped the 5 dollar game Mega Millions. Hopefully others follow suit.🤷
