  I'm the same way, I'm not sure if I'll still play. One thing I've considered is just playing once a week instead of twice a week and only playing twice a week if the jackpot reaches a certain threshold. I think MegaMillions is going to have a big drop in sales if they got through with this.

  I remember when Florida Lotto went up to $2 from $1, Lottery Post Posters were talking about boycotting Florida Lotto.  I respomdded something like,"It oly went up ONE dollar.  If it goes up to $5, then we should boycott.  And, MegaMillions is being proposed to go up to $5. I hate MegaMillions, one of my least favorite Lottey games, I don't even like playing it at $2, let alone the proposed $5. I think we should boycott MegaMillions if it goes up to $5.  What a ridiculous jump, over twice the current amount.

  "What's your ADDRESS?" May be the CREEPIEST question EVER asked to a Lottery Winner! O.O WTF?

   

  At first, I found the one digit away draws kind of amusing, but now I am PISSED! 15 or 16 times I was off by just one digit in recent times!🤬 No longer find this amusing, it's making me REALLY angry now!🤬

  The 'smart money' says that at least 50% + of the 17 people who said they'll never play the new $5 Mega Millions will play it, and the Mega Millions promoters are very aware of that.

  Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any. So many systems, so many theories, so few jackpot winners. 

  

  There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

  I played 5 picks since I started playing when it was a $1. I still played the same 5 picks when it increased to $2. I really can't justify spending $25 each draw especially knowing I barely win anything. If I do end up playing the same, I would have to cut out Powerball entirely...

  I stopped playing Powerball and Mega Millions when I realized this:

  Mega Millions 3+1: Play $2, odds 1:14,547, prize $200.

  I consider this a ripoff because

  3-ball: Play $1, odds 1:1000, prize $500 in most states. Higher prize, much better odds, and lower investment.

  4-ball: Play $1, odds 1:10,000, prize $5000 in most states. Much higher prize, better, odds, and lower investment.

  I will not play Mega Millions unless, for example, the 3+1 prize goes up to $14,500 on a $2 ticket. Of course, that's never going to happen because that will significantly reduce the big jackpot, which is what people want.

  Today's winning 3-ball is going to be a number between 000 and 999.

  In a lot of states, lotteries benefit education. That makes the REAL winners the only people who can't play!

  Florida Fantasy 5 is still a buck. I'd play that game over the Fantasy Lotto game all day long. 14 draws compared to 2 draws a week. 36 numbers compared to 53. The Fantasy 5 is such a better game it aint funny. If your a data cruncher. You could just sit on a strategy for a month and watch the 60 draws.

  They can't afford to hold on to it THAT long, for it's a sign that nobody's playing it enough to be won...more than likely bcauze of the arrogant price increase..they'll be forced to give it away waaay before then ..kinda like the last recent Powerball low Jackpot... 

  Not even habitual Gamblerz like to be FORCED into how much they'd like to risk on a bet..

  There will be people that play $5 on MM. Guaranteed. There are people that drop $5...$10...$20...$50...even $100 on scratch offs. For the Jackpots MM offers $5 is nothing to some players, despite the odds of over 1 in 302 million plus.

  For comparison, TX $100 - $20 Million Supreme scratch off has a top prize of $20 million with top prize odds of 1 in 2,550,000. They are really selling those tickets. Me personally, I would never spend that. I very seldom (won't say never) will spend $5 on MM. I will on games with better odds.
