August 9, 2020, 9:20 amEarthquake hit in NC this morning!
Just wanted to say an earthquake just hit around 8am this morning.
I was propped up on my bed with my laptop and the whole bed shook violently.
Scared the living daylights out of me....my neighbor said the same thing happened in her condo.
You can read about it on the link above.
Sparta is on the VA and NC line....they have had 2 that are 5.1 in the last 24 hours.
I ran outside with my gown and robe on and some of my neighbors were out there.
This happened a few years ago so I knew it was probably one...thank God it was not that bad here.
Hope the people in Sparta are ok.
The last time this happened a lady told me she was at a red light and her car shook all over and she could
not understand what was wrong with her car...never occurred to her it was an earthquake.
July 13, 2020, 7:17 amJohn Travolta's wife Kelly Preston died
John Travolta's wife Kelly Preston died Sunday of breast cancer. She was 57 years old.
May she rest in peace! Such a beautiful lady gone way too soon!
Here is an article about it.
July 11, 2020, 9:23 amPlease pray me & others!
I'm not feeling so good this morning...I have been up since 4:30 am with chest pain but
it could be anxiety from worrying about what is going on in the world these days....I think
I watch too much news on TV but I do have Afib and that could be it too.
I am asking for your prayers....I think I will be ok soon as I finally took something and have
taken my afib meds....my cardiologist said a lot of people have afib and don't even know it.
I had it for a long time and did not know it I'm sure because now that I have treatment
I don't have the symptoms I had before.
Thanks ahead of time for the prayers & don't forget to pray for Sully too for her arm
and shoulder pain & all others who have had covid 19 in their family
...my own daughter had it (she lives in another town) but is finally mostly over it.
...thank the Good Lord for that!
and she did everything right and still got it and she is a health coach & has a degree in
therapeutic recreation & one in psychology...I'm telling you this because
she was very very careful and still got it...when she had a chest x-ray it showed the pneumonia
she had on top of the covid 19 and she said she was the sickest she has ever
been and it was scary when you have to go thru it alone...her own dr would not see her so told her to go
to an urgent care and she had a hard time getting one of them to see her...a lady at one felt sorry for her and kept calling around & found one who would take her....thanks for everybody I asked
by pm to pray for her...it helped her get well!...she lost a lot of weight so she said she was skin & bones
but is trying now to gain it back & is on the way to a full recovery!...she told me at one point she
thought she was going to die there alone but I kept encouraging her to hang on and say over and over
that God is healing me!
I wanted to post this here because some are still not wearing mask and that is the least we can all
do to try to help others not get it.
July 8, 2020, 8:16 amBlood type & corona virus
This was just on NBC news about the corona virus and blood types.
I have type O but they said not to get over confident over this and to think you could not get it because you can.
June 29, 2020, 8:13 amAnother salad recall...I can relate
Click on the link above to read about another salad recall.
I bought one that was pre-washed last year and ended up in the hospital with e-coli and was very sick.
It was called Southwest something (forgot the other part of the name).
Thought about suing Wal-Mart but decided it was too much trouble...that is where I bought it.
Talked to a produce mgr in Harris Teeter about it when I was in there one time and he said that one
had been recalled more than once so now I don't eat pre-washed salads or any other kind that are in a bag.
I buy my salad items and wash them myself!

May 15, 2020, 8:34 amcan catch covid-19 by talking loud
Just now heard this on the news that your talking loud could cause droplets to stay in the air for up to 14 minutes so you can
catch the virus by talking now...if that don't beat all!
I always wear a mask but a lot of others don't...was in a gas station yesterday and I was the only one with one on.
Some just are too lazy to put it on....I asked some of them where is you mask and that was an answer to me.
I can't breathe as good but still wear it....most think it won't happen to them!
I hope and pray they get a vaccine we can use very soon and get this under control!
May 13, 2020, 9:15 amsquirrel needed man's help
This is heart warming....one time when I went for a walk and bird walked a long ways beside me....now I wonder if the bird
needed me for some reason but he did not act like he was in any trouble and finally flew away but this little squirrel went out
of his way to get this man's attention & it worked.
if you hi-light the link then then right click on it you will see how to get to the video.
Most may know how to do that but I just learned how not long ago!
I can't do this one so you just click on the link.

May 9, 2020, 5:34 pmabout this covid19 virus today!
I posted this on the NC pick 3 thread but then decided I wanted to put it here in
my blog where I probably should have put it in the first place but want as many to
see it as I can so left the post in the pick 3 thread too.
I did mention buying p3 tickets in it...lol
I need to be more careful myself but when I see what I did today with that little
girl eating in the store I just about came unglued...you would think the mother would know better!
I saw them the whole time so I know she didn't wash her hands or use santitizer.

April 4, 2020, 6:51 amhow to make a no sew face mask
The CDC has now recommended we wear face mask especially to the grocery store where you are
closer to others.
If you scroll down to the bottom of the page it shows how to make one from a tee shirt.
You can also use a paper coffee filter to put in one.
