Another Dumb Idea in Phildelphia!!

I use to work for the agency that had another problem today, the second time a employee was shot. Why?

The reason why is that the Philadelphia Police Department uses the trucks and uniforms that the agency has to do drug stakeouts. I remember years ago that my manager threw a fit about the Police Department using our marked trucks, telling them that our job was dangerous enough that to add to it. I told my manager what happened to me and he put a stop to it. I blogged about this manager before, he was one great man and I would do anything to make him look good to his upper managers.

I was working on 18th Street, just below Washington Avenue, and at the time it was a high crack addiction area. I was doing my job as a carpenter, and these thugs came up to me and asked me if I was a cop. I said no, and asked them if they were kidding. A neighbor came out and started yelling at them to leave me alone, that I was the only one that did a good job. Another neighbor heard what was going on and came out and started yelling at the same jokers. I thought it was going to be a riot!! The ONLY reason why my life was saved was those neighbors that came out and helped me. I now wonder what would have happened if they didn't. I hoped I thanked them enough then, I would like to send a thank you and blessings to them again.

I think the Police Department should use another tactic or use some other way of doing their job. To have the two carpenters from the same agency shot in this short amount of time is horrible. And if I were the family of these people, or the person I would file suit against the Police Department for putting my life in jeopardy. They also use the Gas company trucks to do their job. WHY?? They can use false name and have a truck painted, like Andy's Rug Cleaning - Or Extermination, but to use those trucks that employees have to go into drug infested areas and to have the drug dealers even think they are cops is putting the unarmed employee at unnecessary risk.

UnEmployment??

Just found out on the TV News tonight - NO UnEmployment Checks will be cut for the Unemployed soon. WHAT?????????? Is Gov. Rendell NUTZ?? First he cuts the pay for State Workers, now THIS?

We have crime in Philadelphia, Pa., more so than some other cities over our country, less with Camden, NJ being so close. But I said earlier that we would have to have someone riding gunshot to the food market, forget standing on the corner to wait for a bus to go to work. More robberies and assaults will be reported than ever before.

Home invasions? Yes we have them here, robberies at your front door, don't open it unless you know the person, and if they say they are from utilities like the gas or phone company, tell them to get lost! I did, I asked the Joker at the door to show me his work ID and he didn't, so I told him to get lost, called the Gas Co. and they said I was scheduled for a reading. Then WHY didn't the Joker show me his ID? I was told by the other Joker on the phone from the Gas Co. that I should have let him in anyway. Yeah, right!!! I didn't like the looks of that man, and I didn't want him in my house!

How long will this last? People are struggling with the economy as it is, and now the ones that took a blow with losing their jobs and went on Unemployment is now facing NO Unemployment, no job prospects, no income, and no way to feed and house their children? Beg, borrow or steal, that's how!

Unemployment in Pa is INSURANCE so shouldn't a Lawyer file a class action Insurance Fraud law suit? I sometimes wish I was a Lawyer to right some of the wrongs I see.

What are families supposed to do without that check? They cut into it years ago and imposed a tax on the money, so they get less, now none?

I wonder if the Jokers that are making the decisions NOT to pay Unemployment and State Workers Pay in FULL taking the same cuts??? They should be OUSTED!!! Did I ever say that I don't like politicians? ROFL!

The Country, the World is in deep....................!!!!

The Nutty President? OUTRAGED!!

I recently heard that the President Obama want to install devices on our PERSONAL vehicles to monitor and tax for each mile we drive. IS HE NUTS??? How evasive that!!! I went along with him until this crap came up in the news. How dare he thinks that we would want to have a device on our vehicles!! Who is going to pay for this device? And WHY should the American public would not vote this Joker out the next election is beyond me!! I am truly OUTRAGED!! I'm angry, I'm mad, and I am going to write my representatives and give them a piece of my mind over this.

What if the CIA, FBI or Secrete Service wants to ''add'' a module to keep track of us in that device and who is to stop them??? There are many things that can be added to this device, like a listening module on our private conversations in the vehicle. What if the device does damage, catches on fire, who is going to be responsible for the damage? God help us if this action against the American public goes through. What they don't get enough taxes from us from the pump at the gas station that they will have to also tax every mile we drive? They wanted us to buy smaller, more efficient cars and so now they want to tax the miles because we don't have to buy as much gas? I don't get it. I think its time we STAND UP and FIGHT this.

Write, call, do what you can to fight this device from being installed on your own vehicle!!!

Who To Believe?

I always say that I do my predictions by history. But this has been bugging me for more than a year, every time I come to July its the same thing, which number is correct in the history that I got from the Official Pennsylvania Web Site?

I looked it up on Lottery Post, and for 7/30 I have 922, but for 7/22 I have a completely different set of numbers. Why is this the case with the PA Lottery Site? I contacted them last year about this error and they never corrected it.

What is YOUR opinion on this ''mistake''???

Cirque du Soleil

Always wanted to know what that big tent was about on Broad Street. One day I bought tickets to the show and I have never been the same since. It was magical, it was fun, it stirred my imagination. I was a little kid for the night.

If you can go - see what the big tent holds for you. I am planning to return to that big tent, but it won't be on broad street, its further down in South Philly, no matter I'm going. I can't wait to buy my tickets and wait for the night of the show. I still have my funny hat that I bought the last time and plan to wear it to the show. This time I'll buy a baseball cap type and not a top hat so I can wear it every day. Can't wear that top hat every day.

I am so happy!!! I just got my email telling me they are coming to Philadelphia!! I can be a kid again for one night! I can't wait, its been a year since they were in town and its been a long year without them.

The people on stage is amazing. The jump about, the girls can move their bodies as if they were made of rubber, and I love the high flying acts. This time they have a fire routine. The show is new with some of the normal things like those rubber girls. There is a intermission where we are served drinks and snacks, they give you a free upgrade for the tickets if you join the club, I joined.

The actors and performers will mingle with you, and you are in awe of them. I love the circus, but I especially love Cirque du Soleil.

Funny Economics

A Friend sent me this in the mail, I'm sure its making the rounds in email, but I enjoyed it so much I have to post it for you.

It is the month of August, on the shores of the Black Sea. It is raining,
and the little town looks totally deserted. It is tough times, everybody is
in debt, and everybody lives on credit.

Suddenly, a rich tourist comes to town.

He enters the only hotel, lays a 100 Euro note on the reception counter,
and goes to inspect the rooms upstairs in order to pick one.

The hotel proprietor takes the 100 Euro note and runs to pay his debt to
the butcher.

The Butcher takes the 100 Euro note, and runs to pay his debt to the pig
grower.

The pig grower takes the 100 Euro note, and runs to pay his debt to the
supplier of his feed and fuel.

The supplier of feed and fuel takes the 100 Euro note and runs to pay his
debt to the town's prostitute that in these hard times, gave her "services"
on credit.

The hooker runs to the hotel, and pays off her debt with the 100 Euro note
to the hotel proprietor to pay for the rooms that she rented when she
brought her clients there.

The hotel proprietor then lays the 100 Euro note back on the counter so that
the rich tourist will not suspect anything.

At that moment, the rich tourist comes down after inspecting the rooms, and
takes his 100 Euro note, after saying that he did not like any of the rooms,
and leaves town.

No one earned anything. However, the whole town is now without debt, and
looks to the future with a lot of optimism.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how the United States Government is
doing business......

Today I witness something I have never before. My computer changed the desktop all by itself????? I never seen this before.

I wonder if anyone else noticed anything weird on Saturday/Sunday with their computer??

My City Loves Robbing Its Citizens

I live in Philadelphia Pa., all my life. I have a love/dislike (I never use the other word) with my City, there are many things that are enjoyable. Food is GREAT, traffic depends on what time of day you travel, plenty of things to do, most people are 'mild,' and a host of other things that makes it a good place to live.

Now for the bad. I went to the shopping center close to my house. As I was exiting there were four cops giving out parking tickets to those that were not parked or stopped 'legally.' The City has tried every which way to rob its citizens of money, some citizens mind you. This is PRIVATE property that they were handing out tickets yesterday, not public property. Yet if you would go to South Philadelphia any day or night, any time of the day, you will find cars parked in the middle of the intersection without a ticket, cars parked in the turn lane for hours or over night, double parked cars, its a mess in South Philadelphia. I recently yelled at a Parking Authority Meter Reader for handing out a ticket to a woman that just went into the Library to drop off her books. I told him that if this was South Philly she wouldn't have gotten a ticket. He told me I didn't know what I was talking about, but I do. They even made an HBO Special about Philadelphia, Philadelphia Parking Wars, it shows how the Parking Authority is corrupt and only targets some parts of the City and one part of the City the residents get away with murder.

The thing is this - The City of Philadelphia needs money just like every other City right now, but many times I have made comment to the Powers that Be that they are not going about this in the right way. If parking illegally is wrong for one part of the City, then it should be against the law in ALL parts of the City. Am I right? Why should one part of the city not even have the Parking Authority on patrol??? Not ONE ticket on those double parked cars??

In 38 years of driving I received three parking tickets, and one moving violation. The moving violation was a speed trap, I was entering the expressway and gunned it to merge into traffic. The three parking tickets are recent. One was given to me in front of my friends house that I was staying for a short time because my friend had a heart attack and was scared to stay by herself for a short time. It had just snowed and the street still had snow on it, it was also street cleaning day and I didn't think that those jokers would clean the streets with snow on it. The Parking Authority illegally mail me a ticket. I fought it and lost. I had to pay the 100+ fine. Yes, I'm still angry about that ticket, I was only in the house maybe 30 minutes and came right out to run back to the store.

The corruption in the City of Philadelphia is amazing! How can the Citizens of this City can tolerate it I have no idea! The Mayor Nutter wanted to raise the rate of the property tax, yet there are Citizens in this City that NEVER pays property tax. There are Citizens in this City that pays property tax that they made ''arrangements'' to have it lowered to a point that the house should be in the slums, but its in the prime section of the City. We have property that is worth millions of dollars in this City and they DO NOT have to pay property tax for 10 years!!!!! You heard me right, a 10 year tax abatement. And what do they do when the time is almost up? MOVE!! Yes, they will move and they will NOT have to pay property tax for ANOTHER 10 YEARS. But the ordinary Citizen that has to scrape by and do without has to worry about paying their property tax. There are many senior Citizens in this town that are scared to death that they will lose their home if the tax is raised, but the Citizens that can afford to buy a new house whatever the amount, doesn't have to worry about paying property taxes for 10 years.

Whew! Is there more? Yes! But I'll go back now to trying to hit the Big One!! Maybe I can buy that new house and don't pay property taxes for 10 years?

Dirty Habits and the Deadly Flu

Hello Lottery Post Members,

I need help and advice on something that has been bugging me for awhile now.

I take food safety very seriously, having food poisoning twice, once it nearly killed me.

The supermarkets use the same shopping carts to empty the trash containers in the parking lots that you use to shop for food with. I worked retail and begged my store manager to stop this practice years ago. Imagine doing your food shopping and using that nasty trash can in the parking lot and at the entrance to put your food in while you shop. Same thing. Ever take a look at some of the shopping carts that you use? Why are they so dirty? And why now do markets supply wipes at the entrance?

Wipes won't do, we need to write our lawmakers and have them pass a law that they can not use the shopping carts for trash removal. Period. They make food handlers wear gloves to handle food, but you take that deli cold cuts wrapped in plastic and place it in your dirty cart, when you get home the cold cuts go into your refrigerator pronto to keep it fresh. You are transferring deadly germs from the shopping cart to your refrigerator and cupboards. I won't get graphic, your imagination will do.

With this new strain of flu, it has the avian flu combined with the swine flu. As you know I have been sick with the flu for almost two months, I have tried to use my natural antibodies to kill whatever is making me sick. No, I didn't get the flu shot this past winter, was too busy taking care of my sister post-operation. I know I was run down, and it took hold. Yes, I do believe that my body can kill anything that invades it.

Do like I do now, line the shopping cart with the sale circulars so your food don't touch the shopping carts, use the wipes on the handles to get the dirt and germs off of it and you'll be amazed how much dirt comes off of those handles, make a complaint to the store managers, if you see food in the bagged ice machine complain and don't buy the ice, and ask the manager not to use the shopping carts for trash that you have to put your food in.

And remember to wash your hands when you return home. I also remove my shoes when I enter the house. This flu I have been tracking for three years now, and its no joke, we are due for a pandemic and by fall and winter you'll see what I'm alarmed about.

Something got me so sick that its taking forever to get over it. I will get over it and I'll have a stronger fighting machine for this new bug.

Peanut Butter And Pets Alert

Officials in Oregon have confirmed the first cast of salmonella in a dog, the first time an animal has been injured in the national salmonella outbreak that has sickened over 575 humans.

The animal was fed dog biscuits that are part of the massive peanut butter and peanut paste recall that is now one of the nation's largest. It's the first instance of an animal known to have contracted salmonellosis.

The contaminated peanut products were manufactured at the Blakely, Ga. Plant of the Peanut Corporation of America. A total of 1,555 products have so far been recalled, including eight types of pet treats.

The dog lives in Oregon's Douglas county and had eaten Happy Tails Multi-Flavor Dog Biscuits, Oregon Health Department officials said. Laboratory testing confirmed that biscuits were contaminated with the outbreak strain of salmonella.

"The dog biscuits were on the list of products recalled several weeks ago," says Emilio DeBess, Oregon state public health veterinarian. "They contain peanut butter that comes from the same Georgia plant that has been linked to the human illnesses."

"This is a reminder that people need to check not only their own food, but their pet food and treats as well. Is It Legal and/or Safe To Play The Daily Numbers Online?

Well?? Is it legal and safe to play the daily numbers online? And if it is, does anyone know where to play, et. website?

I have a dilemma, I can hit everyday but my numbers are coming in New Jersey some days and Pennsylvania. Some days I could hit in both states. But with the gasoline problem and the rasing of the bridge tolls to four bucks a shot, its too expensive to run over to New Jersey. No, I don't know anyone that lives in New Jersey, wish I did.

Any help??
